This is my first attempt of posting a picture here, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it works. Anyway, this picture was taken of my daughter last winter. We can't figure out what is wrapped around her. We have had a few strange things happen here at the house. Just wondering if we caught a spirit on film. Any thoughts?

Not possitive but to me it looks like just a reflection.

That what I thought too....it is always good to get someones else's opinion.

The top part of the doorway looks like a reflection. But what is wraping around your daughter may not be. Hard to tell for sure.

The doorway has a varnish finish. When I first saw the picture I thought, hey cool, I have something here. But then I got looking and the flash could of reflected off the doorway and caused the white "thing". I wasn't sure, so I thought what the heck I will try and get other peoples opinions.

I would like to offer a different opinion. The light doesn't seem to go around your daughter but it also doesn't lend itself to look like a reflection of the door frame. The door frame is very linear but the light in the picture is very fluid. It is very reminiscent of vortex pictures. Though I can't say that the light is not a reflection. This one is pretty hard. But I wouldn't discount a spectral image at all.

Is your daughter the only person this kind of thing has happened around? If so try taking her picture at other times and try to stay conscious of any reflective surfaces and avoid those angles which could cast a refection back onto the lense.

Personally, my feeling is it is not a reflection.

I have to agree with Nakis. The form wrapping itself around your daughter appears more fluid than what I would think the reflection would be. However the top part of the doorway, I feel sure is a reflection. Look through some of your other photos taken at the home and see if anything unusual appears in them. I'm interested in hearing about your experiences at the house also.

I'm thinking the same thing. The mist around your daughter isn't a reflection (it could be some sort of lens flare though), but the bright area at the top of the door frame is.

Did you or your daughter feel anything unusual when the picture was taken? A chill, a disoriented sensation, hair standing up on end? That could indicate something was there.

My daughter has never said anything to me strange feelings or cold spots or anything. I was told once that she is like a magnet for spirits. I have recently took some more pictures of her through out the house, just waiting for them to get developed...I am anxious to see what else shows up. I am going to post another picture on here, and it will be titled Halloween. This was taken 3 years ago of her and a friend goofing off Halloween night. We don't live in that house anymore, but this picture is what started me in to studying paranormal things. I would post the picture on this thread but not sure how to do that, so I will start another. I am looking forward to everyones thoughts...thanks Deb

I'm in agreement with Nakis, Carrie and Kevin.

The lacquered doorway does cause a slight reflection, but the white stuff you see around your daughter (which happens to start where the top reflection is), although faint, is more than likely a mist (ecto).
