Good Morning,
I wanted to ask a quick question. Has anyone felt a cold spot that was so intense that it brought goosebumps to your skin? A few weeks ago, I was sitting here at the computer, it was one of those hot humid days in the mid-west where you thought you were going to melt. We don't have a.c and the room we have the computer in, used to be an old mud porch. Hot and stuffy. The steps to the attic are beside the computer desk, you can reach over and touch them. Well, here I was hot and sweaty, checking email, and I felt this blast of cold air, it came from the attic. Well, I thought I am having a cold flash as opposed to a hot flash. I got up and didn't walk a foot away from the desk and it felt hot and sticky. I sat back down and it still felt cold. It only lasted a few minutes longer and went away. I told whoever it was, Thank-you for cooling me off, I really needed it. [Cool]

Hi, I have had that sort of thing happen. In my bedroom which is in the basement. It was always in the same spot in the room. I would be lying in my bed and it was as if something unseen was touching my leg with an ice hand. Thats the only way I could explain it. The rest of the room was a normal tempture, but where I felt I was being touched was literally like having a piece of ice set on me. [Sigh]

I've had that happen occasionally too. One of the most intense was in an old Victorian home my parents owned several years ago. The front room of the upstairs was very small, and at one time had been used as a nursery. I never had any really odd experiences in the room, but other family members who visited to spend the night would hear sounds of a baby crying. Anyway, the room was always cold. As one guest put it, "You could hang meat in there." We had several weird things happen in that house. That particular room didn't seem to be the focus of the energy, but it was certainly cold and more than one overnight guest turned down invitations to stay in it again.

Interesting story, Moonspirit. I take it you have activity in your house. It was nice of whatever it was to cool you off. I guess you don't need A/C if you have a willing ghost. =)

Out of curiosity, do you feel disoriented when you feel the cold spots? I've felt disoriented when in haunted places, but I haven't felt a cold spot, yet. But then I live in New Hampshire, so basically the entire state is one big cold spot!

I have never felt disoriented. Just cold...I have felt cold spots in different parts of the house, but not as intense as right here at the computer. I have felt someone walk up behind me while I was washing the dishes. My husband will do that, walk up behind me and put his arms around me...I thought it was him, but when I didn't feel his arms I turned around and no one was there. We have some investigators coming to the house in August, I will make sure to post anything they find. I am hoping they find lots of good stuff, so people don't think I have lost my mind...LOL

I have experienced cold spots or little breezes of cool air many times. In our home now we have all experienced cool spots and not always in the same location. One time not long ago I had one follow me - I stepped out of the bedroom into the hallway (where there are no vents and there was no AC on or windows opened) and walked into and through a cold spot that was very noticeable. As I walked down the hall into the living room I could feel it follow me. I stood in the living room and I could feel a cool swirl of air around me. One of my arms felt cool to the touch while the other didn't. I called out to my son and when he came into the room and I asked him if he could feel it (not saying what it was). He noticed the coolness right away. He walked to the kitchen and it was normal temp and then back in the room. He returned to the kitchen and stood there while I stayed where I was for a moment. I walked over to where he was and a second later the cool air followed me and breezed past us both. This time it was even colder and it made the hair on both of arms stand up. Then it was gone and all the rooms and the hallway felt the same norm temp. [Eek!]

This happens regularly - when I go to bed (all different times) it is almost a given that as I sit and read or write (which I do nightly) I hear this knock that sounds like it is beneath the bed then the little tv I have in the room (not on) makes a pop sound and I feel a little cool swirl of air on my face for just a few seconds. One of my cat's sleeps in my room and I always watch him when this happens and sure enough his eyes start to follow something that I can't see. Sometimes he will even give chase off the bed and run to a wall or the closet or the door and then nothing? It doesn't seem to happen when hubby is in the room as often as when I'm there. The funny thing is it doesn't happen during the day or evening when I'm in the room (even if I'm lounging on the bed) just when I settle in for the night. There was a time I would have thought I was a loonie but with the numerous experiences I have had in my life, I simply grin.
