Good Morning,
Has anyone heard slamming doors late at night? Last winter my husband was working late, my son was also at work. So it was just me and my daughter, and of course the critters. Anyway, I was laying on the couch reading and dozed off, I was scared awake. I heard a door slamm HARD.It almost sounded like a heavy metal door. To me the sound filled the whole house. I jumped up and the first thing I did was check on my daughter, she was sound asleep, with both dogs and they were also asleep. None of the doors here in the house could make such a noise, when the house was empty the next day I went around slamming the doors in the house, I am sure my dogs thought I was going off the deep end. But I wanted to see of I could make the same noise...but I couldn't imitate it. Anyway, a few months later I heard it again. Could this possibly be a spirit, or ghost trying to get my attention? I was curious if anyone else has had the same experience. Thanks, Deb

I can't tell you how many times I've heard slamming doors in the middle of the night. Or in the middle of the day.
At my parents house when I was about 14, I came home, my mother was late, I was locked out so I sat on the porch waiting. While I was waiting I heard what sounded like the cellar door slamming repeatedly.
At my last place of residence in the wee hours of the morning I not only heard but felt what was like a 50 lb sack of potatoes hitting the side of the house at about 30 mph. Where it should have hit there was no damage.
About a year ago, I was in my bedroom, in the middle of the day when I heard my front door screen door open, the front door open and close and then nothing else. I walked to the door but there was no one around anywhere.
I often hear my kitchen cabinet doors slam in the middle of the night.
I think that as many reasons as to why a living person would want to make noises like that there are reasons a ghostie would want to make noises like those. Attention, anger, fear, not aware you are even there, etc... .

Yep have had a number of experiences of hearing doors shuting/slamming along with cupboards. Both in this home and the previous. Along with doorknob rattles when noone is on the other side. Our previous home was an older home so the doorknobs were the old style that were noisy when you turned them. Sometimes footsteps would precede or follow the sound of a door or cupboard closing.
The last time I heard it, I sat up and said ok you have my attention, is there something I can help you with. I didn't hear anything. If I would of had a tape recorder I could of turned it on, who knows maybe I could of picked something up. It doesn't scare me anymore, I have heard someone walk acrossed the floor, and noises that were unexplainable. I am just really curious who could be here with us. I don't feel threaten or anything. I actually love this house, there is a warm cozy feeling to it. When we first moved in I was disapointed because the previous tenants trashed it...it was horrible. We made a deal with the land-lord in lew of the security deposit we would clean the place up. It has taken us a year to get it looking nice. I thought maybe the oringal owner are happy with what we have done to the place and our coming back to thank us. Does that sound crazy? ![[Nutty]](graemlins/nutty.gif)
I don't think it is crazy at all. Perhaps the original owner has noticed that the home is back in original condition and is thinking they are still there? I hope that makes sense.
I've had the door slamming thing too. At our former home, we would watch the door open and close on its own. We checked the door several times to find the cause and never could come up with anything. I've also experienced the loud sounds that seemed to have no origin.
Try keeping your camera nearby and taking some pics after this happens. Also, take note of any unusual dreams. You may find the spirit in your home trying to communicate with you in this way. Good luck!
