Hi, everyone. Somethng new has happened here t my house, and I wanted to share it with you and get your thoughts. I will try and keep it short and not ramble on like I tend to do sometimes [Wink]
Last night my husbandand I were in the computer room. I was sitting beside the desk in my chair, he was on the computer looking up stuff on underground bunkers, he likes looking at that stuff and since he shows an interest in my paranormal stuff I think it is only fair to share an interest in that with him. Even though it can be a little boring. Anyway, he found somethng "neat" he wanted me to see, he scrolled down so I could read it and reached over towards the attic steps to grab his drink. I wasn't looking at the screen yet, and he said "crap look at this honey" "The mouse is moving on it's own." His hands were away from it....and the curser was moving across the screen. Not real quick, but it was moving. Our mouse is a infra-red one, with no ball on the bottom. When it moves you can see the red light under it. Sure enough the red light was on. It only moved for like 30 seconds. I was excited. I don't know if it was from the excitement, or at the thought of him seeing something unexplained but I broke out in a cold chill from my head to my feet. I had goosebumps all over. It was bone chilling. All I could say was I wish i had a camera because I would be taking pictures right and left. I have been keeping a journal of the stuff that happens, I wrote that down in big letters. Well, I bought a camera today and I am going to carry it all over with me...just in case.
So what you do think? Was the spirit/ghost trying to tell my husband that they are really here?
Any thoughts would be appreciated....thanks in advance, Deb [Rainbow Smiley]

I keep wishing my husband would experience something! He does believe there is something to all of the paranormal stuff, but he never has experienced anything personally.

I've heard that ghosts are fascinated with electronics. Perhaps you have a long departed would-be computer geek? [Wink]

Seriously, I've heard stories of them playing with ceiling fans, children's battery operated toys, radios, stereos, etc...

I think the camera is a great idea. Everytime something interesting happens to me, I'm always without mine!

Hi, Deb,
I really do think that your spirit is just letting you know that he/she/or it!-lol is there. Hope you get a pic, that would be great! Like Carrie, said the camera is a great idea. The spirit in my house likes to blow out my candles and turn on the water in my kitchen sink (show off)-lol. Keep us informed. =)

Was the mouse physically moving, across the desk? Or was it just the cursor on the screen? Mice, especially optical mice, can misread sometimes and possibly cause erroneous cursor movement even if the mouse itself isn't being moved.

Is it a corded or cordless mouse? If it's cordless, RF interference could play a factor too. If it is corded, and there was tension on the cord, that could have caused the mouse to move.

If it happens again, give the mouse a nudge and see if the cursor stops. Or watch the mouse itself carefully and see if it is moving. Not to say it wasn't a ghost causing it, but I've seen mice malfunction in ways like this before.

You felt a cold spot in the same room a few weeks ago, right? Did you feel anything this time around (well, besides your giddy excitement)? Was the mouse cold afterward?

Like Carrie said, ghosts seem to like electrical stuff. Probably because they can draw energy from them and use them to play their cute tricks. =)

I am anxious to see if anything else happens...I have my camera right near me. My daughter and I are going to take a walk to the local cemetary later on. Just about a mile from here. She went there with a friend about a week ago. She knows to be respectful and not to disturb anything, and I have told her when she walks into a cemetary to at least say hello. And to pick up any trash she see's, it the neighborly thing to do.
Anyway she was drawn to one particular grave, one of a small child, her name was Sara and she died when she was two. I thought it's a beautiful day, might as well go for a walk. I want to see why she was drawn there, perhaps because it was a small child, or maybe it was something else. I do plan on taking the camera =) I will let you know what, if anything happens. Deb

No didn't feel anything before I got all excited. And the mouse wasn't cold afterward, but I couldn't get to it before my husband did.

The mouse isn't a cordless one, and the mouse was moving, just slightly though. The next time it happens I will definately give it a nudge. Now that I am watching for it and have the camera it won't happen again LOL

Which direction was the mouse moving? Was the wire tight, or being pulled somehow to make the mouse move? I've seen it where the cord was dangling behind the desk and it gets snagged by a wayward foot or something and causes the mouse to move. You would probably know if you caught your foot in the cord though. Maybe your husband's foot?

Have you ever felt anything unusual in your house, besides the cold spot?

Keep us posted as to what happens in the cemetary.

Our computer desk is a cabinet, there are two doors in the front that open. The keyboard is on like a tray that slides out, that is also where the mouse sits The tower has it's own little compartment underneath, the monitor sits on the main part of the desk. All the wires run behind where everythings sits. Steve gets aggravated when he has to replace something or work on the computer because everything fits in too well. I thought about maybe Steve's foot getting tangled in something or moved the wire, but you can't reach the wires with your foot. I have tried pulling the tray that has the mouse and keyboard, to make the mouse move, but it doesn't. The mouse was moving from right to left.
Yes, I have felt a few different things and heard things. I have felt someone walk up behind me while I was washing dishes, Steve has a habit of doing that, I assumed it was him, turned around and no one was there. I have heard someone walking across the dining room floor while I was in the basement. The poochies and I were the only ones home, and they were with me, as usual :-) I have smelled something burning...walked the house trying to find the reason...you could only smell it here at the attic steps.
The visit to the cemetary went well, I didn't feel anything while I was walking around. It was funny because as we were walking in we both said at the same time, Hello. I also said that we were just there to visit for awhile. My daughter took me to the gravesite that she is so curious about, she thought the baby's name was Sara, but the tombstone read Son of Sara...couldn't make out the last name..died at 2 yrs...and so many days..couldn't make that either. That struck me as strange because they didn't put the baby's name on it. WE took a picture and said thank-you. Another thing that was strange is down over a hill at the cemetary where the trees are, there are three headstones, looks like someone threw them down there. There was writing on one but we couldn't make it out. I also snapped a pic of that. I will post the pictures as soon as we get them developed.
Seems like I have written a small book, I would appreciate any thoughts or feedback about the computer. Thanks in advance, Deb

I've had a lot of stuff happen with computers. Sometimes it normal stuff like tension on the mouse cord. Sometimes I can't find any normal eplanation for the weird stuff that happens. Like the metal ashtray that was near my computer suddenly ringing like someone hit it while I'm the only one home.

I have checked the cords and have played with somethings to see if I could get the mouse to move. I was afraid to do too much...I didn't want to unhook something, then I wouldn't be able to figure out where the heck it went. I have been carrying the camera around just in case I feel or hear something. Sometimes our house just isn't quiet enough...I think my son and daughter try to out do each other with the stereo's. No wonder I am going grey LOL
