Most of my dreams have a somewhat zombie content to them, I have figured out most of them relatively easy enough. But one I had a while ago still asn't been solved.

It starts with myself, my most loyal friend and his dad we are outside a partially built (breezeblock structure only) utilities building at a caravan/camp-site on the cliffs above the shore. Its isolated and only the possible owner of the sites house can be seen just up the round, there are no signs of other settlements.

I glance over the neighbouring fields again and in the nearest one from a rather hidden part I see a bunch of zombies moving around they see us and start moving towards us, they aren't very slow or super quick but like a power-walk.

I tell the other two who glance at the zombies and we decide to start to barracade ourselves into the half built utilities building using the construction materials left. But after a minute or two we realise it wont work so we get out of the building, the other two are still carrying what ever they had in their hands inside the building, my friend as a hammer and his dad a large wooden plank, I myself dropped what I had when I fled the building.

As we flee the building we nearly bump into the bunch of zombies make a brisk scramble to the right and head towards the site owners building, the other two almost get there but I can't run anymore (I don't have much stamina in real life).
I tell my friend and his dad to go and I'll slow the zombies down (I can fight in hand to hand rather well in real life).

They hesitate for a seconed or two but I enrage myself and charge the zombie horde and do a drop kick to one of the zombies, it feels as though I tried to drop kick a wall. The zombie acts like nothing hit it and I feel like I ran into a wall not to mention I'm sprawled on the floor due to the move.

I quickly get to my feet and try some shoulder barging but it doesn't work either and I get grabbed by a zombiewhile I'm struggleing with the zombie I glance around and see my two friends are doing much better then I am but still aren't falling any zombies either.

I break out the hold before a seconed zombie nearly bit me. I flee back towards the other two and decide to try my luck with some of the zombies attacking my friend. I leap onto ones back and then do every hold I could possibally do, to its head. I then increase the tightness hoping to snap its neck, but to no avail it just starts lumbering around before it starts to get me off it.

Next thing I know something hits me on the back of the head and all starts to go black as i go unconcious. Just before I fully go I see my two companions still fighting zombies and the bunch I was attempting to deal with going past me and heading towards them.

After seeing nothing but blackness I awake and start freaking out thinking I'm a zombie now. After I check myself over and over to see if I've been eaten any where, or have the craving for brains. But I don't seem to be injured anywhere but where what ever it was that hit me on the head.

I look around to see if I can see anything but I see no zombies, no blood, no bodies/body parts. all I can see as evidence of the tussle is the hammer and the plank of wood on the floor. I head to the partially built building wondering if the two won and disposed of the bodies but didn't have the heart or got disturbed by something before they could dispose of me.

But once I get there nothing as changed since we fled from the structure. I glance around but see nothing. Its alot darker then it was when I fought, when we fought it was midday and now it seems to be nearing dusk. I decide to find a mirror and somewhere I can finish cecking myself over head towards an awningless caravan most of them are locked and no one seems to be inside.

I eventually find one thats open but before I can look in the mirror I always wake up.

Can anyone help find an answer?

RuFus, have you seen the movie "Twenty-Eight Days"?
My husband, who also has zombie dreams, suggested that your dream was in some ways similar to the movie.

As I said, my husband, James, has had zombie dreams for a long time. He also has wolf/werewolf dreams, along with a lot of other, weird, very vivid dreams. (incidentally, he is a computer geek, and was wild about RPG's when he was younger). I peeked at your profile, when I noticed your writing style was very British. Any chance you are a Dungeons and Dragon's player? This may be at the root of your zombie dreams. James also has friends who are sometimes plagued with similar dreams.

As for dream interpretation, some of the other folks here could probably help you more with that. Good luck and try to get a good night's sleep!

I haven't seen 28 days later, and D&D isn't my sort of game. My friends don't have zombie dreams either. I like my zombie dreams, just this one seemed to place zombies as being immortal and as tough as a cliff.

Hmmm...this could be a long shot...but is there something in your life that your struggling with or that you can't seem to find an answer to? Or maybe a situation that no matter what you do, you can't seem to figure out?

If so, maybe the zombies in this particular dream are representative of that. Since you said that when fighting, you tried everything that you could think of to over come them...nothing seeming to work...meaning you can't figure out what it is that you should do to over power them.

I've had a few zombie dreams as well, but only during stressful periods in my life where I feel very helpless to whats going on around me. In my dreams, I can't figure out what to do, or how to stop them.

I'm also a huge horror movie buff. If you are as well, that could also explain your correlation to zombies and to whats going on in your life.

Like I said, it's a long shot...and I'm not usually very good at interpreting dreams. But I figured I'd give it a go, especially because I had my last zombie dream only a few days ago!

Let me know what you think! =)

I like zombie movies more then any other type of movie, I personally think that zombie movies are very funny, thats why I like to watch them.

I can't think of anything that I'm struggling with off the top of my head, well not one that is still in effect any way.

Its hard for me to be stressed for long, my life style takes the stress away from me due to my personal training to hone my moves. I decided to start to hone my skills because I really don't trust most of the neighbours in the housing estate. There are too many ASBO people around, though nothing I couldn't overcome easy enough.

It sounds like you have something in your life that you fear. Something you feel ineffectual against. Something that moves with little thought and cannot be reasoned with. You're also afraid that you will be converted over to it somehow.
Take a few clues from the need to check your body in the mirror and the tools your friend and father were carrying, the hammer and wooden plank. And the fact that you had nothing in your hand. No matter how you struggle it is something you can't fight.
But don't worry. Your dream tells you the resolution too. I believe your dream is also telling you that even though you will worry about it you have nothing to fear. The danger isn't real. The facts are there but it is something that you can come to terms with.

We all have this type of dream. Different symbols over different issues. But it tells you what the problem/issue is (hidden in symbols to pad the message) and it tells you what you can do about it. Depending how much the issue bothers you will determine how many times you have the dream until you work out the issue. You may just work out the issue in life without figuring out the dream meaning and it will never come back.

I may have forgot to mention, I won't use weapons in real life unless I have no option. Its a personal rule of mine I've had as long as I can remember.

RuFus, I am not someone who interprets dreams either; however, your comment regarding your living situation may be the culprit. Quote-- "I really don't trust most of the neighbours in the housing estate. There are too many ASBO people around, though nothing I couldn't overcome easy enough." Do you feel you are trapped in this living arrangement? Maybe the zombies represent your living situation, try as you will it doesn't change no matter what you do. Are you unable to move from your living situation. I too live somewhere and am not happy there because of the neighborhood, since I own my house it is not as easy to move. This was just a thought.

I prefered where I lived before but I had no choice in moving, otherwise I would have stopped it. The problem is where I used to live is small and few houses come on the market and most are very expensive (in excess of £110k).

Also I have things like college and jobs to do I'm only 17 and I have a specialist course about to start that will last around 3 years its a course I would really enjoy doing. So its not really easy to get back over there even if I really had the time.
