Somewhere on this forum I think I mentioned this earlier, but here's the story from Crime Library about Tucson's most famous murderer and I recall hearing about this at the time when I was kid.

I think I also mentioned too about a friend of mine who relates a strange experience; he and some others were out in the area of where the body of the Rowe girl was buried as this was a party area at the time. Well, they were at one of these when they kept hearing this strange laughter and could not determine where it was coming from or locate anyone. There was another time when their car would not start and someone jokes "Alleen, please let us go!" and sure enough the car started.

That is just too creepy. I wonder if paranormal activity in the area was ever reported by others? Schmid must have been a real sicko.
