Well, we had a ghost hunting team here ysterday afternoon. And absolutely nothing showed up on film, their emf meters didn't go wild and no drop in temperature anywhere in the house. I was so disapointed, and I also felt bad because these people came all the way from Louisville KY, about 2 hours from us.
I don't know if I should have them come back, or try someone different, or just do it myself. I can take pictures, and set a tape recorder around in different area's of the house. Get all I can and invite them back.
I guess I wanted professionals to come in and actually find something to solidify the fact I am experiencing ghosts/spirits. Now I am questioning myself. Is there something here? or am I just imagining things.
It frustrating....any advice? Is there something I could different?
Thanks in advance, Deb [Rainbow Smiley]

I would try to gather the evidence myself, and then contact them to see if they are interested in coming back. Was everyone in your household present during the investigation? Is there a possibility the spirit is not attached to your home, but to a particular person or item in your home?

My daughter, husband and i were present when the investigators were here. There was only 3 of them. My husband and I were asked alot of questions by one of them, which I didn't mind answering. I am sure that was standard proceedure. The other two were walking around the house and snapping pictures, what struck me odd was none of them carried a tape recorder. Seems like I am the only one that can hear things and feel things. My husband can't sense anything in this house.
I think that is why I am starting to question myself, since it only happens to me. I have taken a few pictures here at home which some strange things in them, but maybe they can be explained away.

Moonspirit,

I agree with Carrie - try to get some evidence on your own first. Do the tape recorder thing and take some pictures.

With the tape recorder maybe you should try asking some questions?? Make sure your home alone or somewhere where you won't be disturbed and ask questions while you tape.... like "What's your name?" then pause for about 30 secs or longer and ask another question.

Make sure and keep us updated!

Moonspirit,
sorry nothing happened. Maybe the spirit just likes you!-lol I agree with everyone else about getting your own evidence first, maybe that will help. As Candi said abut the tape recording, they were talking about that on Coast to Coast am with Art Bell, they even played some of them. Like Candi said about asking them questions, and pausing, that's what they did and then played it back, and you could hear there answer! Good luck and hope u get some pics:)

Seems to me that the ghost/spirit only likes me LOL But that's ok....I need to buy a samll recorder and start carrying that around with me. My daughter goes back to school today so I will have the house all to myself. So I shall arm myself with a camera and a recorder and set out to persuade our visitor to at least say Hi. I was very discourage Saturday evening, but now I think I am determined. I am still writing the "happenings" in my journal. The time--date--and what occurs.
My husband showed the investigators the sketches I did back last winter. I started having very vivid dreams and I sketched them down to show Steve...thought I was loosing my mind at that point, but anyways they want me to send the sketches to them. I asked them why, and the head investigator said he wanted a "reader" to look at them. I will let everyone know what if anything the "reader" says about those. If anyone has anymore advice, please send it my way. Thanks in advance. Deb

Ghosties are people too. There could be several reasons why nothing showed up at the time they did the investigation. One being, maybe the ghostie likes only you =) =) .

Another could be the ghostie didn't like the invasion. Or doesn't want anyone to know he's there. He may be afraid that if someone knows he's there (besides you and that may be what he considers a secret) that he may be forced to leave. It all depends on his mind.

That and it seems that ghosties don't always stay in the place they haunt 100% of the time. Sometimes they roam. Sometimes it seems they are someplace else. It's hard to describe. There's more that goes on than we know (as we all know).

I agree with eveyone else. Keep trying yourself. But you may have to promise not to expose him to anyone else. You can ask for responses on audiotape, to show up on film, answers to questions, etc... but you may have to reassure him that you won't tell anyone about him. Some people are very private for various reasons.

Good luck Deb.

I agree with the other posters here, see if you can get your own recordings/pictures. Your ghost could be shy and hides when there are more people in the house, especially strangers.

Some ghosts roam as well, so it may not always be "home". Where they go is anybody's guess. I suppose they could slip into another plane/dimension, or just hide in a nook of the house inaccessible by the living.

I had a similar situation this weekend. We had an opportunity to go to my wife's friend's house which she believes to be haunted. I had brought some gear: a video camera, tripod and an audio minidisc recorder. I was hoping it would have been just the three of us, but it ended up being a small crowd over there, so I doubt I got anything. I took some pictures, but nothing unusual turned out in them. I haven't watched the video or the audio recordings yet. I did have an unusual feeling one time, which I'll start another thread on as not to hijack this thread.

Moonspirit, don't feel bad about being the only one in your house to experience things. When I was in college, my parents lived in a very haunted house. My father travelled a lot, so my mother and I were often there together. Dad never experienced a thing! It was so frustrating. He'd grin everytime we told him of the latest goings on, just like he was humoring a pair of little kids. He knew there had to be something to it, because he knew we were telling the truth. It just seemed like a conspiracy with the ghosts not to do anything as long as he was around!

Keep trying, keep that recorder and camera handy!

Thanks everyone! I am determined to go through with all this ghost hunting here at home. I never thought about the ghost maybe being shy, I am shy and I am sure I would make a shy ghost =) When I get that tape recorder I guess I need to tell whoever it is here that there is nothing to be scared of, I am here to listen, if there is anything they would like to say. I am not afraid of it, it used to startle me, but now I kinda go with the flow. I wouldn't want it to leave. If they are only drawn to me their must be a reason, maybe because I am here most t\of the time by myself and it doesn'twant me to be lonely [Big Grin]
