I just got back the pictures from my daughters b-day party. Looked through all of them, and found one that just might be something. There is something white behind my husband, he is standing in the doorway to the mudporch, where we have the computer, where I feel all the cold air. It might just be a reflection from the flash, but I think it would be bigger, and I didn't have the camera pointed directly at him. Steve has a program on here that allows you to emboss, and sharpen...all the good stuff. So I kinda embossed it....don't know if that would make a difference or not....Any thoughts on what the white streak could be? Perhaps my visitor? Or maybe just a reflection. Thanks in advance.... If I didn't post the url right let me know, and I can post the picture...never done the url thing before [Embarrassed] The first one is the embossed one...

It's hard to tell looking at the picture (since the background is dark). What exactly is behind him where the streak is? Is it a doorway? Was the door open or closed? Can you try taking some more pictures in the same spot to see if it's a reflection?

Yes there is a door way there...and he was standing in front of the door...it was opened...I am going to post the entire picture..I had cropped it down. Maybe seeing the whole picture would help

I will try and take a few pictures of the doorway and see what comes up

Seeing the uncropped picture I don't think it's a reflection from the camera flash, since the flash wasn't aimed at that doorway. If you stand in that spot (where you were when you took the picture) and look at the doorway, what do you see in the room beyond? Anything shiny that could cause a reflection? Was it daytime or night, maybe it was reflected sunlight from a window?

Hmmm, i'm not sure on this one. I argee with Kevin that it cant be the flash if its not pointed at the door. Like Kevin said, try and rule out those possiablies, but most important as well, do take some more pics of that area from different views or from the other side of the door as well. Good luck =)

Well when I stand in the same spot that I was...looking into the kitchen. There is nothing shiny or reflective. I was standing there looking at everything, trying to figure out what could of cause a reflection....my son asked me what the heck I was looking at LOL I told him I was admiring how nice and clean I keep the kitchen :-)
Looking at the picture...to the left of Steve..is the doorway to the mudporch...he is leaning on the counter. This picture was taken about 7:30 in the evening.

Wow that is odd looking!

I can't figure out what it is.

It looks almost as if it's a reflection but it's really hard to tell.

It's neat tho!

Wow, that's a neat pic. I too am unable to tell what it is b/c the background is so dark. I tried editing it but still it was impossible to see into the background. It looks like a reflection or some source of light, but I dunno... cool pic though!

I have tried playing with the picture a little bit, but my experience with the software my husband has on here is zero. I plan on taking some pictures of the doorway to see if the white thingy shows up again. Just to see if maybe the flash reflected off something. If I can't re-create the white streak, I think I might have captured a moving orb. I hope I did...that would be exciting. [Jump]

I'd have to say that you can't rule out the camera flash. The effectiveness of a flash for film is very limited but the light travels a good distance and can still cause a reflection like that.
Did you know that even flat white paint reflects light well? You'd be surprised what surfaces will reflect a camera flash.
I don't think you can rule out either flash, alternate source of light or supernatural occurance. That area is so dark.
