I just wanted to tell you of my experiences with ghosts and the paranormal. i have always believed in 'something' even before i know what ghosts were. I was about 10 or 11 before i saw my first ghost, which was also seen by my younger brother. I was playing on the computer in the corner of the room, my brother was climbing on the furniture and jumping from chair to chair. As i looked up from the screen i saw what i can only describe as a white thick cloud come through the wall behind me, head towards my brother, turn at the last minute and disappear through the far wall. Where the ghost went through the wall could be seen a kind of clear film. (A few months later my parents redecorated the room and the mark came through the paper). From then on i have seen a number of ghosts, or at the least felt their presence. I once lived in a house where the previous occupant, a woman in her early twenties, recently died. Though i never saw her, i could feel when she was around. She would turn on lights upstair occasionally, usually the bedroom one. Every occupant of that house since i left has had bad luck, and have not stayed more than six months, (i left 4 and a half years ago). The town i live in in England is extremely haunted,(it is one of the oldest settlements in the UK, this area has been inhabited for about 2000 years), with more than a dozen locations of paranormal activity i can name off the top of my head. My brother can also sense ghosts, and we can sometimes see things before they happen. I have noticed as well, that when we are together our sense increases. Looking back at it it may have something to do with that first encounter, or we may have had this 'power' if you want to call it that, before and not know it until then. I have had other encounters, and these have helped me with my novels. I thought that you might be interested in hearing this.

Interesting story! I love visiting the UK. What we consider "old" here in the U.S. is kinda put into a new perspective when you visit the UK. With so much history packed into those places, you know there are going to be more than a few ghosts around! Welcome to SpiritKeep! What part of England are you in?

Hi Carrie.

I'm from a small town seven miles outside of the city of Worcester, (24 miles south of Birmingham). Every Xmas time there is a ghost walk through the streets of Worcester, it is a very interesting experience.

I saw a show today called Haunted England and at the end it said that it's believed that one in ten people in England believe in ghosts as they have experienced someting etc. so that would make it the most haunted place in the world. Sounds like you have many experiences yourself that you can add to those featured on the show. I would love to visit there with all the history it holds in addition to the ghosts that still reside.

Are you frightened by these occurences or have you grown accustom to them? There were some nasty ghosts featured on the show.

thanks for sharing your story,
Cat =)

It can be a bit unnerving sometimes. I'm setting up a investigation team to check out some of the haunted places in my town.

Look at my post 'Investigation Advice', as i have listed some of the places i'm hoping to check out soon.
