Cool pics again, Savannah. I went on a ghost tour in Savannah when I was there couple years back. Is there a website for the ghost tour in Philadelphia? I travel a good bit, so I'd like to check it out next time I'm the area. Thanks

Great pics, Pate! [Cool] The history is so interesting... If I ever get up that way again, I'll be sure to go!

I'm quite fascinated by the Old Pine St. Cemetery photos (was this cemetery part of the walk, BTW?) -- particularly the second and third ones (er, #4 & #6, counting right to left). #6 with the shadow, mist and orbs is.... wow! (I'd love to add these two to the SK ghost photo section, with your permission, of course. [Wink] E-mail or PM me about it if you like!)

Is this walk listed in our ghost walk listing[/URL] for Pennsylvania? If not, and if they have a website, I'd like to know so I can add them. Thanks!

Hi Kell,

The link you have posted for the Philadelphia Ghost Tour is the same one that I went on and this is part of the tour. The Old Pine Street cemetery is at The Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church. It was founded in 1768. It was known as the "church of the patriots" to the British because its members included John Adams and Benjamin Rush and others. The British used it as a hospital and then a stable for their horses! "They stripped the sanctuary of its plate and pews -- anything that could be sold or burned -- and left behind only the bodies of one hundred Hessian mercenaries who still lie under the east walk of the churchyard." It's the only church left there that dates back to colonial times. It has so much history if anyone wants to read about it, it's at: Old Pine St Presbyterian[/URL]

I have to add this funny little story. When we were taking the tour, my friend and I got seperated from the tour because the guide walked so fast. (This wouldn't be a problem for most people, I have a circulation thing going on because of diabetes.) Anyway, we took a shortcut and ended up at Old Pine. The cemetery gate was open and we went in and started taking pics. When we got around the back of the church (it was really dark,) and I was wearing my white T-shirt from SpiritKeep (Paranormal Investigators Do It In The Dark.) All of a sudden, I hear this scream, "Ohhhh My Lord! Well, I jumped out of my skin and it was a girl, who had come around from the other side of the church, and was with the ghost tour. Since it was dark, and all she saw was my t-shirt, I scared the bejesus out of her. [Laughing] We had unknowingly caught up with them, they were on the other side of the churchyard and she had ventured away from the group. I just wish I had my voice recorder on at the time, it was hilarious. I also made a new friend who runs the Philadelphia Ghost Tours and I have talked to her on the phone since I got back, which is so cool. [Cool] I just had to share that with yall, because I am warped and found it really funny. [No]

Pate, that is a scream! You were a ghost for a moment! [Laughing]

I'm glad you made a new friend at the Philly Ghost Tour -- that's great! [Big Grin]
