My husband took this shot of me and my dogs last night. There is a small ball in the left upper corner of the shot. Can anyone tell me if this is an orb, dust or a result of the flash? I am sure I know the answer to this question already =( but, just maybe I am wrong! -

Hmmm.. hard to say. At first it looks like a reflection, even when zoomed in, but I don't see anything in the room that would cause a reflection like that. It looks too flat to be able to say for sure that it is an orb. However, I also noticed a larger, fainter orb-like object to the right of the TV, partially overlapping the door. That could be dust close to the lens. What kind of camera do you have? Did you use a flash when you took the picture?

It's hard to make out more details due to compression artifacts. Do you have a larger version of the pic you can post?

P.S. Good lookin' dogs you have there! =)

Hi Barb:

I can't tell you for sure what type of orb it is. There is a large faint one on the right at the door, but it is dust or a reflection. The one on the left, I cropped and enlarged so u can see it better. Maybe someone can give you a good opinion. =)

The close up looks much brighter and denser than it appears when you look at it in the picture, if I'm looking in the right place. I'm not sure either what type of orb it would be. It seems to have something to it though. Great picture of you and your dogs though Barb. =)

Thanks for the response everyone and sanannah thanks again for your work. I used a hp 720 auto focuse digital camera and I do believe the flash was on that night.
