Can anyone tell me if it is true that orbs only show up around happy people? I can't remember where I read such a thing but I did and wondering if this is true. That would explain why I can't seem to capture any HMMMM...I don't know. I might have to do a little research. I seem to be the one that captures orbs in my pictures, so if they only show up around happy people they have picked the wrong person. I am a moody chick, too. LOL I think that orbs showed up when they want to...perhaps they are moody. ![[Rainbow Smiley]](graemlins/color.gif)
Orbs may be attracted to a particular person for a variety of reasons. Maybe in some cases, a person who's happy all the time attracts orbs who like happy people or were happy in life. Or someone might attract the spirits of past relatives/loved ones. Lastly, someone who is sensitive or receptive to spirits are more likely to attract them, since they see them as someone who they can communicate with, or show that they are there.

I think they tend to gravitate moreso to people who are receptors, which makes sense. Example, when my friend passed away in June, and left me the EVP's on my voice mail, she knew I was receptive. Other people or her family may have gotten something also, and not known it. I do think she chose me, because we had discussed what it would be like to die, since she had an incurable disease. She knew of my experience of seeing my grandmother's apparition when I was 7 yrs old. So, yes, I think people who are more sensitive or receptive seem to have more orb encounters than others who are not, as well as other paranormal experiences. I'm not real sure if happy or sad plays a big part in it. It may play a part as far as getting a visitation from a loved one, who may know you need comfort, but that can come in dreams or by them leaving you little signs around the house, or as in my case, using the phone to get to you. Just because you may not capture a spirit orb, doesn't mean you aren't capable of having a visitation. It also doesn't mean that a loved one isn't aware of your needs or keeping an eye on you. I think the bonds of family and close friends, transcends into the next place. Just like we don't die and that's it...the love you share with others doesn't die either. =)
