Hi I'm Frank from Spring,Tx a suburb of Houston. Until recently didn't know Houston or Spring were teeming with Ghosties.
I'm 38, single,no kids and have been to lot of places and have seen alot. I'm into ghosts, conspiracy theories, religions, unexplained, and learning new things.
I sort of stumbled upon this site looking for some information about this area (spring) but more specifically my backyard.
I had been thinking about death and where we went when we died because of 4 deaths in my family that occurred within a period of 3 years and the subsequent appearance of said family members in my dreams and a physical apparition elsewhere (not to me). All that has been settle in my mind as I feel my last "visitation" (dream) from my grandmother was her way of telling me what I needed to know.
Something came up the other day however that sort of relieved me.
Since I moved into this house I have a chair I sit in that is situated by this big bay window and have noticed thru the years that every once in a while I would sort of catch glimpses of a shadow crossing the window. I left this up to my partial blindness in my right eye or the trees in the moonlight (happens only at night) or refelctions in the glass. Or just me going crazy haha.
Well when I had my dream about my grandmother its as though in becoming more spiritual I became more in tune and started actually seeing a shadow of a full figure seems like a man to me. Now I notice he stands by the back door and "peers" thru the backdoor window.
This is not a real person, I checked. When I go open the door theres no one there.
Just three days ago it was confirmed by other family members and friends that they too have seen the shadow and the "man" looking thru the window. So I'm relieved to find out I wasn't seeing things.
That is how I came across this site....I was doing some research on my backyard .
Apparently this whole area was owned by a former slave named Seal Mcdougal and though everything was built around his grave the city set aside his gravesite and built a small park around it. Supposedly he's the only one buried there. He is buried 2 blocks away directly behind my house.
I don't know who this shadow ghost is but I don't think it is McDougal now aptly nicknamed Doogie the Ghostie. Doogie lived a long life and died of natural causes at the age of 90.
I also watched a montel williams episode the other day and sylvia browne was on and mentioned that "Shadow Ghosts" are people who have died a violent death. So I guess I'll just let him keep watching us even though it creeps me out :banana: sometimes just because I don't expect him to be there. He doesn't ever do anything to really make me feel unsafe he just walks (in one direction) and peers thru the back door window.
The other story is about my aunt who died of cancer and my cousin says she sees, dreams and actually has physical contact with her(pulls up shirts, moves objects in plain sight, and communicates using the phone. (I experienced this first hand) A year after she died she called me. It was her voice but not really and I knew it was her because she used my nickename she only called me. This was not a "dream phone call" this was a real phone call.
Ok not quite an introuction but I hope interesting nonetheless.

Very interesting backyard? I know what you mean about seeing shadows. Every now and then I see something flash by also, but I wanna say that for me it's probably just a play of light. As a kid, they used to horrify me! I used to think I would see movement on the walls or ceilings, but then again it was probably just my imagination,...seeing as how our parents always told us horror stories of what could happen if we were bad! ![[Gasp]](graemlins/eek2.gif)
