Hi everyone!

This picture was taken in september of 2003.
Me and a friend were driving around. We saw a house for sale and had to stop and take a picture for the phone number of the real estate agency.
When I saw the photo me and my friend were shocked at what seems to be a ghostly image appeaing next to the for sale sign as if it's saying "Go away, This house is not for sale!"

Before you take a look at this photo please note that It was taken with a digital camera with no flash on and it was still daylight.

Since then the house has been sold, about 7 months later, but not by me!

WOW!!!! I'm not an expert, by no means, but that sure looks like you captured a spirit/ghost. Perhaps you are right about them not wanting the house to be sold

I would have made an offer the that house the day I got a look at the picture. I think it would be amazing to live in a house that was haunted. I am sure not everyone would agree with me though! Thanks for sharing Its a great shot.

I like to look at them in different ways, so I did a little adjustments with it. I can't say for sure what you have there, but if it was taken with no flash and it doesn't look like the sun was out, could very well be a ghostie. Here's the two I did by adjusting the contrast and the color. The first one, if you take a close look, there appears to be a reflection of the anomaly to the left, on the car. Was there an automobile running nearby that may have caused some exhaust or smoke? It sure is bright in the middle though. Just thought I'd ask, to eliminate possible cause. =)

I can tell you that when this picture was taken we were parked in front of the house and there wasn't any other car parked at the location. I took this picture while i was still seated in the car.
No flash was used. I noticed this anomaly right away after taking the photo when looking at the camera's lcd screen.

Okay, coool. =) Is that a car on the left or what? I thought it was a black minivan or something, where I'm seeing the reflection? Or is that the vehicle you were in? I'm just making sure I'm looking at this right. From what I see, it could definitely be paranormal. I think I'd have been tempted to buy the house too.

in my opinion its a reflection caused by the sun or someother light source from the mirror on your car (you can see it in the lower left corner of the pic) notice how the "rays" seem to come from the mirror so it tells me its a reflection of some sort.

that mini van was in a drive way on the side.
I used no flash so I wouldn't know what would cause a reflection. It was a cloudy day and there was no sun in sight.
If in someway there was an refection comming from the mirror then I don't think it would be in the spot this anomaly is, and again no flash was used.

I agree with you Mike-e about the sun. I noticed in the original pic, that it looked like an overcast day. The first pic I enhanced the contrast, which made the picture look a lot brighter than it originally was. I did it to see the reflection of the anomaly in the minivan. It's a great pic, and thank you for sharing. =)

the mirror i was talking about is not from the minivan in the driveway. you can see the mirror from the car you were in at the very bottom left hand corner of the picture. and if it was cloudy it is possible that there was a car coming down the road behind you at that time with its headlights on which would cause reflection from the mirror.

I see the mirror you are talking about Damien and I suppose if there was a car and if it did have headlights on then you could have something that would cause a reflection.

Here is a different train of thought entirely. In all the pictures posted I have noticed everyone talks orbs and mists and it seems to always be more ghostly linked then anything. Recently I listend to a very interersting coast to coast where the topic was Angels which happened to be on the same week that Sylvia Browne was on TV. SB was not talking specificaly about Angels however there were photos shown and she stated that many pictures (similar to this one here) are Angels and we all pass them off as reflections and something on the lens or an error in developing - she laughed at that in saying if you only knew. She did say not all are Angels certainly as there are other paranormal things and good old fashioned errors, reflections etc. On the CtoC show the lady featured also made reference to this as well. That we most often think ghosts etc. when we see something odd in a picture but often it's not - it's an angel aura that has been caught on film. Now these are just two examples that I have heard this explanation, but I have heard and read this before by other reputable well known mediums/psychics etc. Not that they are all 100% correct as certainly they are not, however given their track records, years of experience and amazing examples of a true gift they possess they have my attention.

I am not saying that is what this picture is as frankly I can't say with certainty that it is a reflection nor can I that it isn't. I don't have all the facts of what was going on when it was taken - car no car etc. I know this is off topic a tad here it's just that this picture reminded me of those discussions. I suppose I just feel if we truly want to embrace the paranormal and hold to the belief there is life after death and the world on the other side does at times show itself to the world we know here then we should stay open to many possibilities while maintaining a dose skepticism. ????????
