This sounds really stupid, but it's killing me that I can't remember this story. It was something about the heiress (sp?) of a gun company thinking that the ghosts of the people the company's guns had killed were after her. Does that ring any bells? She built this crazy mansion that had all these doors and staircases that led nowhere. I think the story went that she finally just walked out the wrong door and slipped off the second or third story of the house. I don't know but it's killing me because I think that the story was real but I can't remember the names or where it happened... Can anyone offer any help?

And also, I realize this note is kinda outta place but it's the only place I can find to post it. Plz forgive this. Thanks.

It sure is quite the bizarre story isn't it! I have a neat booklet that I picked up from the gift shop at the house which provides some interesting details and facts. My family and I had an opportunity to take a tour of the house (well only part of it the tour is only of about 100 rooms or so) - it was very interesting and rather amazing. Some very beautiful woodwork and glass etc. in the home. The maze of rooms and strange details are something to see. If you are ever in the area (San Jose) do go on a tour it's a neat experience. If you are sensitive to the unseen or have ever experienced the odd sensations that can occur when you are in a haunted area then there is a good chance you will have that experience here. We did.

Doesn't that sound a little like Stephen Kings house, Rose Red?

Yay! Thank y'all! I don't know about the Rose Red comment tho. I don't entirely recall the reason for Red Rose's...'mysteries' if you will. Anywho, THANK YOU! Now I don't feel so completely ditzy...hehe.
