Hi everyone,
I took this picture about a week ago with my new digital camera. The picture was taking around dusk at my home in Texas. Really not sure if these are orbs, or just dust. I have never taken a picture with anything like this personally,so I dont know what to make of it. Left clicking in it should zoom it in a bit. I would really appreciate any help and ideas. Thanks!

Your dog with that tree branch cracked me up! [Laughing] I'm not thet good with orbs so I can't really tell, with it being outside you think about bugs flying around and pollen and stuff. Two things that I think are good arguements for them being orbs are 1) they both are really bright and 2) the one on the fence has a tail, not easy to see immediately behind it but visable at the top part of the fence and above. Cool Pic.

I didnt notice that tail behind the one on the left until you pointed that out. The flash on the camera did go off. I had autofocus on as well, so if you arent very steady it wont even take the picture. It was a Canon A75.

I hope you don't mind, I fiddled around with your picture so we can see that tail better.

I can see the brightness maybe being cause by the flash on an iridescent insect but I don't know about an insect leaving a tail like that, even with a slow shutter speed, because your dog is clearly moving quickly and she isn't blurred. I agree with you that it isn't movement of the camera that's caused it, because nothing else has blurred or left a tail. I think you have a genuine weird pic. [Shock] Might be explainable and might not be, but in any case it's an interesting- which is usually how it goes with spirit photography. =P

It could be bugs I suppose, Texas has some big bugs! If it helps, I was standing about 12 feet away from the dog at the time. She really likes sticks too. I am going to have to see if I can get them to show up on any other pictures the next few days. I dont mind at all if people take my pictures and tinker with them a bit to learn more, thats what they are there for.

I have always been interested in this stuff, but never had the chance to really experience it, but only something that my mother and I experienced separately in 1 room of a house we had, but never mentioned it to eachother until a couple of years ago. A very cold back room that made us feel like we were being watched.

Hiya Sleeper:

Cool pic and doggie. [Cool] I looked at this pic too, cropped the "orbs" to get a closer look at them. I have to agree with Damien on this one and lean more towards them being bugs. The reason I say this is, they are almost identical in appearance, with that little dark "nucleus" look in the middle of each. I do see a little blurriness on the orb to the left, (maybe a small "trail") which could be an insect in motion, although; I don't see why it's motion would be captured and the dog's not. People with more experience in photography may be able to explain that. I see some lavender and a touch of green around the one on the left, which could be iridescence from an insect (like Renee said.) Some bugs give off a "rainbow-like" effect when light hits them. [Rainbow Smiley] Is there anything growing on or through the fence to cause those colors? Maybe it could be a camera pixelization, not sure on that. Here are the "orbs" cropped for a closer look.

I love looking at everyone's pics, thanks so much for sharing. =)

Thanks for all the info. As I stared at them for a bit, I would have to think it was an insect also. that part that appears to be a trail coming down above the fence is a 2x6 post set a bit behind. And yes, there is alot of stuff growing on the fence, so you are problably right. I dont know alot about photography, and from what I have heard/read, animals are more sensitive to the paranormal than "most" people, and Annie didnt act like anything bothered her at all in that pic.
