Hi there I've been "seeing" a few things in the house that I am now in. It isnt really an old house so I doubt anything bad happened here. So I went online and read about "shadow people". I was just wondering if anyone else has had experiences with them or know what I'm talking about. I think thats what we have since there is alot of arguing and jealousy.

Hi sguillen50, take a look further down in this forum at a thread titled 'does anyone know' by Greenwitch as several members have shared their experience or thoughts on shadow people in that thread. You will also find a link that was provided with some info on Shadow people that may provide additional info to what you have already read.

What sort of things have you seen by the way?

Basically shawdows. I was sitting at my computer one night and I had my door open. My room is right across my mother's room and its at the end of the hall. I saw "something" walk from my moms bf son's room into their room. My mom has also seen a tall shadow standing in the corner in between my room and hers. At first she thought it was her bf's oldest son who is kind of tall, but he wasnt in the house at the time.

I have had experiencess with shadow people as well. Usually in my bedroom hovering above me. I would see an area of the room would be darker and the image would grow larger until it blacked out a large area. Occasionally it would hover very close to my face but, I could never make out a true form.

Hi Squillen50, I have also experienced shadow people. I saw them first when I was 5years old, entering my parents room and the coming into my room, and stand at the foot of my bed. They were tall dark shrouded figures that would move together in a line, and then leave in the same way. Since then, I have seen them in other forms, but never like that again

Help! I really have myself spooked! Before I started sharing my experiences on this message board a couple of days ago, I only talked with my sisters about them. I have'nt talked about them, because I've feared it would stir things up, and things would start happening again.

I know I saw those tall dark shrouded figures in my room, I can still see them like it was yesterday. But, until I read this post, I never knew they had a name, and other people have seen them also. Now that I know these things, it has changed how I've been able to rationalize the reality of it all.

Before, when I think back at the experiences I've had, my mind works to normalize it all, and I have to think, did it really happen? Or do I just have a wild imagination!

Now that I've been reading everyone elses experiences, I have a new perspective look at this true reality, and I'm scaring myself silly!

I've found the thread titled " does anybody know" and the link for shadow people, but it has'nt helped to settle my nervers. Can anyone tell me something positive about this? Because right now I've got all the lights on, and my neck hurts from looking over my shoulder!

Hi Emerald:

I'm not sure if shadow ghosts or shadow people are "evil" or not. There is also a theory that they could be spirits during astral travel (though I don't think that would apply to the ones with red eyes.) I've seen them before too, but have never seen facial features. One thing about them that seems to be common in "most" sightings, is that they seem to move away fast, when they are noticed. That's one reason they don't scare me too much. It seems if they really wanted to do harm of some kind, they wouldn't seem to "flee." I know all of them don't do that, but as a rule, they do. I've seen them in my house from time to time, and I can't say if it's always the same "ghost." My hubby and son have also seen them at different times. Early one morning, not long ago, hubby was up before I was, and saw one. He said the cat saw it too. It headed for the hallway to the bedrooms. I had been up really late and had only slept a couple of hours, but he said within 2 minutes of this sighting, I was up. For me, I was sleeping really good, and suddenly woke up, and I mean wide awake. I got up and went to the kitchen where he was, for some coffee. So, I've wondered, ever since, was that shadow really me, perhaps returning from a little astral travel? Maybe it was the shadow ghost who woke me... Just some food for thought. Thank you again Savannah, those were some really cool pictures! I've been there for over an hour looking at them all. I'm starting to understand shadow people/ghosts a whole lot better now, and they're not as frightful as before! I can be such a chicken sometimes. You should have seen me after I saw the Blair Witch Project! I watched it during my lambing time and I about cried every time I had to go out into the feilds in search of ewes that had lambed out there in the middle of the night. That was the only movie I have ever seen that scared me like that, and again it was because of the unknown aspect of it.

Looking straight in the eyes of my fears is good for my soul(and alot of research) Although I fight it most of the time, until I realize there's no other ways around it. My poor husband puts up with so much from me, he does'nt believe in ghosts or anything paranormal, but he's always trying to understand how I feel about it,

Thank you again for being such a great help!
