Hi, it's me giving a message to me! My introduction was alittle boring... so I thought I would share a little more..... let's see....I am crazy for a good ghost story, have been since I was a kid and my grandfather was an excellent story teller....have never really had any real paranormal experences until last year when my new husband and I went on our honeymoon to the Oregon Coast and decided to stop at some of the old light houses,one of which was the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. We wandered up to the second floor ( or third) and decided to take a picture of the room where the keeper would sleep (it was right below the light) and when we snapped the camara a noise like an enraged SCREECH sounded so loud it felt like it was surrounding us! The hair on my head felt like it was standing on end (like in a cartoon!) and my husband looked at me with eyes the size of a dinner plate and we took off down the stairs knocking each other out of the way. So much for wedded bliss! It was every person for themselves! No one downstairs seemed to hear anything exceipt us crashing down the stairs, and it wasn't until we talked to one of the people who worked there that we found out that the lighthouse was supposed to be haunted. We couldn't wait to get the picture developed, but there wasn't anything in the picture at all that looked abnormal. We wondered if maybe the camera had made a weird noise but it was just a disposable one and we had been using it all weekend, besides it was just to loud for that. Anyway, thought I would share that.... I can't wait to hear from you guys!

Hi Phlebette, it's nice to meet you. I'm not sure what made the screech but I'll bet you and hubby had a good chuckle over your mad stair dash after the fact. Sometimes getting spooked is the best part.

Oh, you painted such a great picture of the stair run!,...I could SEE and HEAR the clatter of feet as you both raced down the stairs! I had to stop at that point in the letter just to wipe the tears from my eyes.* Boy,...it's gonna be fun reading your post! You must've picked up your story tellin' talent from your grandfather!
