Hi Dragon:

I did some searching on dream symbols. I can't interpret your dream, but here is some of what I found that you mentioned in your dream.

HOUSE: Dreams about a HOUSE symbolize a larger aspect of your Self, and the aspects of Self which make the whole. Each room is said to symbolize a different aspect of your Self.

THE DOWNSTAIRS/BASEMENT symbolizes your subconscious mind aspect of Self, which deals with habits, old coping skills, automation, ego. That's usually the part of our Selves that makes us feel "torn" between knowing we should do one thing, but inexplicably ending up doing the opposite. Old belief patterns & fears have to be corrected, if that is the case. Tackle & overcome it, and you will feel much more peaceful about your life.

MOVING:
With moving, we have an obstacle dream, in as much as, if the move goes smoothly and is completed in normal time then you will overcome your barriers and sail through to what you desire. If the dream of moving involves a lot of difficulty, or is not completed, then you must forego changes in your environment and plan on staying in the same career for a while.

I also found a couple of pretty good sites explaining about dreams and giving "pointers," to help people record and apply their dreams to situations in their own lives.

Hope this helps -

After reading you statement, "I need someone to interpret my dreams." My first thought was, "No you don't."
I suppose I have a different slant on things, but may I suggest another way to interpret dreams?
Following the idea that it is your dream and you are the best person to interpret it; I recommend the following:
1.) Write down a word for each symbol, person, place or thing in the dream on paper.
2.) Do word association; for each word, one-by-one, write what first comes to mind after saying that word to yourself.
3.) Go back and see if this makes more sense in light of what has been going on in your life lately.

This is the way, I was taught by a Witch Queen from Penn., I hope this helps you !!!

Ravenheart,

Thanks for sharing your method of dream interpretation with us. This is different than any methods I have ever heard of, and I plan to try it the next time I have a dream that I don't understand. This is quite interesting!

Thanks again!

I agree completely. Books on dreams symbol/image/etc.. are nice. But they are only generalized. What something means to one person may not necessarily mean the same thing to another. Making the dreamer the best interpreter.

And word association is excellent. Letting your subconscious answer is the best way to find the correct interpretation.

The only problem with that is the dreamer may not be ready for the answer. So they will subconsciously block the answer. So having someone else interpret or looking to a book may help.

I've found that houses, structures we live in reflect your mental/emotional state.
For example when depression hits me, I know it's coming on when I start having dreams of houses with various forms of degradation. Water damage, insect damage, dry rot, etc.... . Normally it's water damage. It reflects my poor spiritual health. Lack of change.

I would look to the details in those dreams to for clues. You may be either desiring a change in your life or needing a change. Not necessarily your physical environs but a change in emotion or mental states. Maybe the life your leading served you up until now and now to continue you are recognizing the need to move from old patterns, perhaps old friends, relationships, to ones with new people and patterns that reflect your growth.
Think about it. Let your mind mull over the dreams and let it take you where it will. Often you will see things that will clue you in. Or try as Ravenheart suggested, word association. It's wonderful how that works.
