Several months ago I made an app't with a Medium whom I had found through word of mouth. All her readings have come to her via word of mouth only. Her wait list is long (6 mos) however I have to say it was worth the wait. From the accounts relayed to me at the time it truly sounded as if this lady was blessed with the gift to communicate with those on the other side. I will tell you though that even with the validations from others I was still reluctant to put full belief forward as I know there are many out there that claim this ability without merit.

My only contact with her before my reading which was done in my home a couple of weeks ago, was months ago when I made the app't. Our conversation was brief with minimal info exchanged (she told me a little about herself and asked I share nothing about myself with her). Fast forward to the night of the reading. My husband & sons left before she arrived and returned after she left. I taped the entire reading which was an hour and a half.

It was a very amazing experience but also quite personal and emotional so I will be selective on detail for that reason. Several spirits (loved ones) came through however she only allows one or two (strongest) to remain during the major part of the reading. If she allowed all as she explained it would be like sitting in a room with a hundred ppl all talking at the same time. Plus spirit would also come through for ppl not linked to me but to a neighbour or co-worker etc. My great-granmother came through first, provided validation (name and how she was related) gave a msg and stepped back as with her was my Grandmother (her daughter and my Mom's Mom)who remained for most of the reading as I came to learn she is with me always. I was floored at the validations provided right away, very accurate as was the physical descriptions of her and each that came through throughout the reading. They ranged from things that recently occured in my life (including a cpl of things personal to me that no one else knew of - not even hubby) to things from years ago when I was a child and a few in between. Even specific conversations recently had with my sons or between hubby and I. When details of my grandma's passing (when, how, circumstances at the hospital) were provided followed by details of the funeral and situations before/after (private to the family) there was no doubt for me that it was her. Gosh I keep needing a break from typing this as the emotions flood back.

My Grandmother gave many messages (for me, my sons & other family members) and continued validations (some that blew me away). However I have to tell you that some were unclear to me as I was unable to confirm what she was saying and thought some information to not be quite right. Well I was wrong for after the reading when I shared this with my parents they confirmed what I couldn't and knew exactly what the msg's I was unclear of meant. Most of those were msg's/validations for my Mom (very emotional for her). There was even information that was new to me as I had always thought something different all these years. Parents do keep things fr kids, even adult ones. =)
She also mentioned the grandchildren that were with her on the other side (precious angels lost at or before birth) with reassurance to their wellness and why they chose to go. =( Time for antoher break.

Ok. It was incredible when Josie (the medium) starting asking me about my TV turning on by itself, volumes going up, lights that flicker (and which ones), things with the phone that occur, feeling someone touch my hair (daily) and each night when I lay in bed do a feel wisps of cool air about my face. Yes - she (grandma) wants you to know that's her. She asked me about my youngest cat (I have 3), does he act squirrely and race about the house sometimes - yes he does (jumps at the walls too) - well he sees her and she plays with him. At this time my cat (Zepplin) was asleep in a chair in another room well my Grandma said she would go wake him and get him to come to me (more validation). I kinda smiled and thought uh-huh sure, well moments later Zepplin came walking into the room looking very sleepy with eyes half closed, he walked right up to me and sat directly in front of me with a look of what do you want on his face. I was speechless. He then left the room and went straight back to the chair to sleep. I laugh each time I listen to that part of the tape again. Now I know why are cats sometimes seem to be seeing something we can't (especially Zep). Just to confirm we have had strange activity in our home with electrical things, cool spots, things moved etc for years. Sometimes witnessed by others. I've mentioned this activity in several other threads on the board.

Some of the other loved ones that came through along with my GGM were my husbands Father, my Uncle, my ex's Aunt(ex fr yrs ago) and all with very specific validations. Each briefly though as Josie asked them to step back as this time was for my Grandma and one other loved one which is too emotional for me to discuss. The second half of the reading was spent with her - very moving and amazing to learn some of the other things I've experienced were signs from her and that she too is always with me.

One additional thing I will say is my Father-in-law (I never had the pleasure to meet him as he passed before I met my husband) kept trying to come forward. He played accordian in a band (when alive) and I guess he kept playing it trying to get Josie's attention. She did finaly allow him a little more time near the end to give a few messages/validations. It was also then when she asked me about specific noises we hear off and on (mostly downstairs), some addt'l electrical things (to a T) I confirmed them and well she told me he wants us to know it's him.

I can't begin to describe to you how this felt. Nor can I ignore the many many validations and messages. I realize my details have been rather general however I assure you the entire reading was not even remotely general in content. Moving, eye-opening, private, reflective, accurate timing, revealing, emotional yes but not general.

I hope that by my sharing this I have brought comfort to some of you. I have always believed there is life beyond this life and this was my validation. And yes some of the orbs we capture on film are spirit (listen to your heart you will know which ones). Thank-you for taking the time to read about my experience.

That had to have been an awesome experience. I've always wanted to have a reading, but I'm not sure who is trustworthy in my area. I'd love to have a private reading from Sylvia Browne, but $700.00 is a little steep. Sounds as if the medium you had come to your house was very good, since so many things could be validated. That's cool too, about Zepplin. My cat tends to see things and will perk up and stare at nothing, out of a sound sleep. I know there are a lot of people who don't believe in readings, and a lot of mediums that aren't for real. I always remember what is said in the Bible, "You will know a true prophet, by the fruits they bear." By her letting you record the session, and telling you things that your parents validated later for you, things she couldn't possibly know, that says a lot. I think that is so neat, and I'm so glad you had a productive reading after waiting so long. Thank you so much for sharing.

Pate, having a reading from Sylvia would be great! I know many do not believe in these types of readings as that's ok. I was a bit skeptic too and I still will never obtain a reading from just anyone that advertises. I was very fortunate to find this lady and impressed by her gift. No matter how much digging or prying into my life that she could have done (she didn't) there is no way possible that much of the info revealed could have been uncovered. Had it been a vague reading I would still remain skeptic to this. It was a blessing that's all I can say.

To be honest Brenden when activity in the house first started we were a little taken back by it and a little nervous. However there wasn't a negative feel that came with it (nerves but not neg). In time we resided ourselves to the fact that we are sharing our home. Now it's warming to know who our visitors are. =) In general, I believe most activity is simply someone trying to get our attention and not done with intent to harm or fear.

Cat, that had to be such an amazing experience!!! I remember some of your posts explaining some of the things that had been going on in your home. How comforting it must be to finally know who's behind it all. I think it's wondeful that you found someone as gifted as this woman. I SO wish that I could find someone like that in my area. Thanks Trin, I hope you do one day find someone with this gift as it gave me such comfort and I know it would for you too. I also hope by sharing this it will bring comfort to another who may need it. Yes, it was great for all of us to finaly understand the meaning behind the things that happen in our home. Another plus about is this experience really touched my parents as well, it helped my Mom.

I had many years ago, a great experience with a medium. She told me things that I couldn't believe she could know. I always "believed", but she confirmed it, and it just made thing better for me. There was an explanation for the unexplained... Ha ha.

You are so very lucky to find someone, who (by what you have said), is truly gifted, and brought to you peace and understanding....
