Hi all. I am back with another pic. This one was posted to a chat board on Ebay and I was given permission to post it here as well. The woman who took this picture said she turned off the TV then got the camera to take pictures of her boys and this is what came up. Is there a way to see if the face in the TV is an anomaly or not?

***EDITED: I edited the link, the photo wasn't showing on the board. =)

Wow, strange pic... I saved it and going to take a closer look at it. Did this person say this was someone she knew or recognized?

There is something oddly familiar about this picture - more so the face in the picture. It's like I've seen it or something like it before. Wish I could recall where it was (wasn't e-bay).
Do you know if she has posted this any where else outside of e-bay?

Hi wacava:

Here is a cropped/enlarged, contrast increased, version of the tv lady. It's pretty darn creepy looking. I imagine someone could manufacture an effect like this. The one thing that I question, is the reflection of light off of the lens of her glasses. (Right side, since we're facing the pic.) I have no idea as to the authenticity of this pic, and can't give any opinion as to whether it's really a ghost or not. Maybe Damien or someone else can give you an opinion. I'll look at it some more tomorrow and use some different photo editing programs and see what I come up with. I see something on top of her head too, but could just be colors or a reflection of something in the tv screen. Here's the pic after I edited it.

Nice close-up Pate =) It helps to have one. I was wondering if that reflection was from the glasses or not, it appears it is. You can also see a shadow reflection of the glasses on the face (left side). There is a lot of light in the room (even reflects off the top left of the tv frame) so shouldn't you see more light and object reflections on the screen (especially if a flash was used)? Along with Pate's question I have to wonder that and why there is a shadow of the glasses on the face? Sorry but I don't think this is an anomoly based on these things. [Sigh]

This picture just really struck me as odd. The woman who posted it to eBay was not the woman who took the picture so, all she has is the story that was told to her. The general thought on that board is that it is the face of Elton John. LOL I had a hard time accepting this one as real. The fact that the face is almost center on the TV (most of the TV pics I have seen were off center) and as you said, the reflections from her glasses.

Cat, I don't know if this was posted anywhere else. She said she also submitted it to Ghost Study. I will have to do an internet search and see what comes up.

Could you give me the reasons for it not being legit, or, is it for the reasons posted already? The woman who posted it is interested in finding out what she can about it.

I think it's not legit for a lot of reasons. For one thing, a person could easily fake that. I looked at it really closely and the person is wearing black, and with a black background, she would appear not to have a body. The reflection of her glasses on her face, and the shadows, seem to me, to suggest this was a picture taken of a living human being, wearing very physical eyeglasses. Any picture editing program could be used to give it "creepy" effects. It just doesn't look like an anomaly or "ghost" to me.

Also, I mentioned seeing something on top of her head, but I didn't state what I saw. I was seeing a little stuffed dog looking thing or some type animal,(which could be something in the room, reflecting in the tv screen and not actually part of the photo.)

Very interesting pic, thank you for sharing it. It never hurts to look twice and ask questions.

Hugs,
Pate =)

Thanks, I wanted some reasons to give her as to why it doesn't look legit. It is funny how people automatically jump to the Paranormal when things don't look quite right. Someone else posted a picture on that same thread and swear there is the ghost of a boy. Everyone is saying how creepy it is and I can clearly see the boy is real and just standing in the background.

Maybe I will see if they will let me use it to post here so you can see that one too.

Looks like the lady who died from the Old Navy commercials. Remember her with those big Black Glasses [Yep!] . Maybe she wasn't done with her tv career [Laughing] !

Hi Wacava,

I just wanted to let you know that I also examined the photo and agree with Pate and the others -- not an anomaly.

I always tend to be quite wary of any "TV ghost" photos presented. Not that it can't happen (spirits communicating via electronic devices), but the majority of these photos are faked, unfortunately. [Sigh]
