What are your plans for turkey day?

I'll be flying to the Seattle area to spend it with my cousin and hubby and two little sons.

I'll be having Thanksgiving with my family and trying not to eat too much. I'm not much for eating turkey, unless it's fried turkey breast. I do like all the trimmings, though. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

There once was a Pilgrim named John,
Of Pocahontas, he was really fond.
She saved his neck,
So he thought, what the heck,
Over dinner we all now can bond.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :
)
Were going to my hubby's family at noon, and then to my family's at 3 that afternoon. By the time we get home we can hardly move! I'm not one for turkey either, it's the pies and goodies that I can't resist!

I am so very fortunate to have all my family close so we can be together, and my thoughts are with anyone who will be alone for the holidays.

I wish anyone who travels a safe journey! And Happy Holidays to all! [Big Grin]

I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner for Brianna, James and my in-laws. It will be a small, quiet Thanksgiving, we'll see the rest of my family at Christmas.

Turkey is okay, and I do like pies, but what I'm looking forward to is dressing with andouille sausage. There is nothing better in the world!!!

Wish y'all were here!

My sister-in-law made reservations for both our family and hers to have dinner at the Cock N Bull in Peddlers Village. It's a great place to dine and Peddler's Village is so beautiful, it'll be nice to grab a cup of coffee and just take a stroll through after dinner. I'm really excited, it'll be a nice change of pace from running from one house to another to see everyone.

I love turkey, along with all the trimmings!!! Which makes for a very sleepy Trinity after I've had my fill of it! [Wink]

I hope that you all have a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving Day!

Everyone's coming over my house.

This year will be the first in several years when all of my immediate family (save my sister the cloistered sister) will be in the same place.

It's going to be packed in my house. I hope the floor can take it all.

We're making dinner here, as per usual. It will be the normal fare, but we'll be making that Double Layer Pumpkin Pie that Pate posted in the recipe forum. (It sounds great - no baking - and will be easy enough to convert for my Dad who has Celiac Sprue.) My brother is coming over and Kim (Pandora on the board) will be joining us this year. =)

Our elderly gas stove/microwave combo range is on its last legs -- dying a slow death, I'm afraid. The range/stovetop still works- so far, but could go *poof* at any time, it seems. Late last night, I was heating a bit of a snack for myself when the microwave made a soft *poof* sound and went dead. [Ugh] Lovely! It was cold & damp in the wee hours, so I didn't go outside to see if it was just the breaker that had popped. We had the repairman out today and he couldn't find the problem with it, despite all kinds of checking. It's a mystery! [Laughing] So, I think Murphy's Law is at work right now, given this happening just before Thanksgiving, but we'll manage. Besides, I'm going to have my brother bring over his microwave, just in case. On with the show! [Wink]

I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!! It sounds like you all have great plans! [Big Grin]

xoxo,
Kell

We had Thanksgiving celebrations here in October, so my fill of turkey and dressing is over till Christmas. =) My family gathered at my sister's place along with her hubby's family so it was a nice big houseful. The weather was still nice so the gang played a tournament of bocci ball outdoors (I kept score as the back didn't let me play). It was a very nice day.

Kell I'll keep fingers crossed that the stove/range holds out for you. =)

Sounds like you all have some really nice plans. From my family to yours we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Hugs, all the best

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! (Belated greeting to you, Cat! LOL) I hope that your holiday will be filled with fun, family, friends, and a great feast!

I think I will smudge the stove and the rest of the kitchen to drive out the evil appliance "breakdown fever" that seems to be running rampant around here lately!! [Yep!]

Love and hugs to all!
