Ugh! Some of those are just so cheesy -- I've got to hand it to a few of those folks for creativity though. A few of them did catch my eye as genuine, I agree with your picks for the interesting ones, and I also liked the gloves. The porcelain jar had an interesting pic to go with it, but it could have been faked. When the sellers start trying to write a bad dime store horror novel to go with the item it is pretty sad, but they always seem to hook someone.

It seems like a few months ago, after the person who sold "grandpa's walking cane" for an enormous amount, so called "haunted" items have come out of the woodwork on ebay.

Haunted items have been popular on eBay ever since the "ghost in a jar" auction a year or so ago.

If I can figure out a way to print any desired image on a grilled cheese sandwich, and then convince people that it's also haunted, I could quit my job. [Laughing]

The thing is, if I bid on one of these items, won, received the item, and determined that it isn't haunted, could I get my money back? Could I file a fraud report in that case?

"Dear seller, I received your haunted vacuum cleaner bag two weeks ago. During that time, I have not experienced any cold spots, odd occurrences, apparitions, sounds, smells, disoriented sensations, or any other evidence that the vacuum cleaner bag I received is haunted. I demand a refund, or an exchange for a properly haunted vacuum cleaner bag, as outlined in the auction that I bid on."

Could be interesting. =)

LOL Kevin! Get busy with that grilled cheese sandwich!

Yep, I doubt you could get your money back, but it would be entertaining.

One thing that struck me about the last link Alan had, regarding the men's grooming kit, which actually might be kinda promising. I read the seller's story, where they stated they had encouraged people they knew with haunted houses to have garage sales, presumably so they could scoop up the goodies and sale on ebay. Well, just because an item came out of a haunted house, does not mean the item itself is haunted. I hope the money does go to charity, like the seller promised.

I have a feeling a few folks get duped on stuff like this. Definitely a case of Buyer Beware!

Some of the pictures were obviously faked. In particular, the porcelain jar and bunny. And the "orb" in the haunted wallet is most likely NOT a real orb. Either it's a wear mark on the wallet or it was edited into the photo.

And the pictures that didn't look fake, didn't look like anything paranormal either. The dolls, for example, look like normal everyday dolls. No proof whatsoever that they're haunted.

So buyer beware it is. Probably the best way to "buy" a ghost is to buy a house or estate sale items that give you that feeling.

Wow, people will do anything for money. The Aunt Amy story hits me as just that...a story. #1 Why take the dolls from your kid anyway? If mom and Amy were so close during life, it's very doubtful she would have changed in spirit. If my friend were somehow giving my son a gift every year from the afterlife, I'd consider that very special. It's obvious the person has a doll collection she is trying to get rid of for the money. Selling a piece of rope? Wait...let me get off the floor from laughing at this one. - Why not burn it? Or, is there somewhere that says you have to get cash to get rid of the "ghost," who hung himself? The shaving kit...well, might be worth bidding for, if it gives you a shave every morning and all you have to do is sit there like you're in a barber shop. I won't even comment on the haunted panties... other than, - ewwwww, you can bet I won't be bidding on those. [Laughing] Very interesting post Alan, thanks for sharing, I love it.

Anything for a buck. [Roll Eyes] [Laughing] What a hoot, good selection Alan. Who in their right mind would pay even a dime for this stuff? Seems some are willing as a few items have sold. Kevin you may be onto something with a haunted grilled cheese sandwich - what a riot. LOL

Haunted panties? LMAO Puleassse - "Oh look what I bought honey some haunted panties, you know how you were saying we need to put a little spice back into things, these should do the trick". [Booty]

Ewwww is right Pate. Umm she hears strange noises coming fr them when her friend wears them, mostly when eating Mexican food - perhaps a little Beano would help tame this nasty ghost. =P

Now even if someone did have a true haunted item to sell why would you want to bring it into your home? A nasty ghost might not take well to being sold for profit. [No]

[Shock] LOL I'm not so sure I believe this, but it could be true. I tend to doubt stories when people are trying to make a buck. There's a link on his post about another doll, and the family appeared on the Montel Williams show. I can't really see by the photos of that doll, that its eyes really moved or not. I wanted to watch the video clips of it, but you have to save them to your pc to watch them. Since I don't really know the source that page, I decided not to save them to my puter. I don't know, the stitch doll story sounds a little outlandish to me. If he was not try to make money from it, I may be more open to it. Weird, that's for sure. [Laughing]

OMG!!! Anything for a buck! The haunted panties have GOT to be the funniest! I've heard of "edible panties", wonder if anyone has any of those that are haunted?! I can hear the "voices" coming from them now...."BOO! I'm strawberry flavored!..."hehe! I'm sure I could find some stuff under my sons bed that would be enough to scare anyone to death....wonder how much I could get for it??
