Most of you sent wonderfully supportive comments when my wife's grandparents were in their accident the day before Thansgiving, but for anyone unaware, her grandfather was killed.
My wife picked up Grandpa's ashes yesterday, and they currently sit on a shelf in our utility room. Just for kicks, I checked the room with my Trifield meter, and I have detected some new EMF fields, fluctuating in the range normally associated with entities. I'm snapping pictures left and right, of and around the Urn. Hopefully, if all goes well, I will soon be in possession of some interesting pictures! If I do get anything, I'll post them here right away...my children have reacted strangely to the urn, my daughter, for instance, asked me why it was so cold- it feels completely normal to me, room temperature. (about 74 degrees) My non-contact thermometer shows it to be 72 degrees, but Samantha insists it is ice cold. Stand by, guess we'll see soon! I sure hope it's Grandpa..I miss him.

Everyone have a happy new year, and please- be safe out there. Alot of idiots travel the roadways on and around New Year's Eve...I don't want to lose anyone! Seriously, I think you are all wonderful, accepting people, so please take care during this holiday season.

Thanks For Listenin',

Sorry to hear about your wife's grandfather. Judging from your children's reactions, particularly feeling cold, I would say Grandpa is still with you. Try talking to him... ask him if he wants his picture taken, before snapping the photo... he might pose for you!

Do you have a digital camera? You would know right away if you caught something instead of having to wait to get the film developed.

Yes, I have a fair amount of experience with EVP's and spook photography...I'm firmly in favor of asking permission, or at least explaning what you are doing, before taking photos. I've seen, many times, situations where pre-permission photos revealed nothing, and post-permission revealed an orb or other phenomenon- very good advice! I've tried evp's with no luck so far, and digital has revealed nothing...I've had much better results with long exposure 35mm pictures, taken with fast film- iso 800 or 1600. I'll develop those soon, and see what I get! I'm really hoping I can capture something, as it would make my wife feel better...the EMF's are very high, right around the urn- made me wonder if the urn was wired, at first! I moved it to different locations, but get the same EMF readings no matter where it is placed. I tested the area right at the top of our stairs, and got a zero- completely flat. Then I placed the urn there- it's not metal, btw, but rather a sort of phenolic material- and got 2.8-3-4. fluctuating. Weird, usually readings like these get orb photos, in my experience. I'll keep you all posted! Wish me- and grandpa- luck!

Have a safe and happy new year's!
