I have a couple of what I think are EVP's. I think they are really cool! They are still on my digi voice recorder. I had it set up to record only when it picked up noises (saves on batteries that way too). I don't know how to get em on my pc? Can anyone help me out. Also, My sis's daughter is 12. Ever since she was a baby and able to talk she has had terrible night terrors. One incident - she was about 2 or 3 and she was asleep next thing we knew she was up outta bed and trying to climb the wall screaming that she couldn't breathe and that the gas was awful. Now take this in she was 3??? So we got to researching this some and we think she was a jew in a past life killed in a gas chamber. Now that she's older she talks in her sleep, sometimes she speaks fluant German in her sleep. She has never studied German and there is no way she could know the language fluantly. We want to record this and see if anyone out there knows what in the world she is saying. She doesn't do this everynight but now it's happened more than once a month, it's like every other week, and we feel if we don't treat this that her soul will never rest in peace. Can anyone help me out there too?? It would help if I knew how to put my recordings on pc so that others could here this?? Thanks! [Shock]

Hi Brauvura,

Sorry so late in responding here...!

Does your digital voice recorder have a USB connection, which would allow you to trasfer your recordings directly into your computer? If not, there are probably others on here that can help you on this. I think, without the benefit of a USB transfer, you just need a few things from Radio Shack. Hopefully someone else can help with this info, if that's the case. =)

you need the software that came with your recorder, and a usb cable. (the instructions will tell you exactly how to do it i forget off hand) i like to use either cool edit pro2 or adobe audition (they are the same program except that adobe audition has more features. just run the evp through either of those programs and then you can amplify them and run all sorts of filters. if i remember correctly you will be able to find the evps through either program (cool edit or adobe audtion) by clicking file -> open and browse.

Hi Brauvura,
I went to Radio Shack And ask them if they have something that I could get my recording on to my computer. There is an in-line wirer that plugs into where your microphone on your computer plugs in and it also plugs into recorder microphone. Then I used the software that came with computer. It is easy and very simple to do. I also had help From SK to clean up the EVPs because I have an old computer that can not fit 1 more program on. Go to Radio Shack they have what you need.

Hi Brauvura:

I was answering your PM and I accidently sent it before I was finished. [Nutty] I'm not sure what programs Damien has, but more than likely the files are too big to send through email. Also, you have to have the program that comes with the digital voice recorder, and a usb cable to fit the end that goes into the recorder. Usually the digitals come with that. I'll look up some info and send ya.

Hugs,
Pate

If your recorder doesn't have a USB port you'll have to connect the audio out (headphone jack) on the recorder to the line-in jack on your computer's sound card, and use a recording program on the PC. Sound Recorder, which comes with Windows, will do in a pinch, but it's limited to 60-second clips. I've also used the sound recorder/WAV editor that's included with Nero, but that costs money (though if you have a burner, it may have come with it).

Thanx Damien, This will help. I check out my digi voice rec. and found out it is a cheapy. It was bought for me as a gift for my B-day and well let's just say my mom doesn't know what she was looking for and she just overheard me metioning one. I could do what Kevin suggested and just dowload 'em that way. For now since it's tax season coming up I am browsing the selections on Ebay or will probably go to Radio Shack, Staples, or one of those pricey stores to browse and see what I can get around $100.00 or arounds there.
Again thanx all for helpin me out - especially Damien for the *cough*dl*cough [Wink] lOl! I will try Kevin's idea first b4 I go blow all my tax money that government gladly gives away! lol, Have a wonderful Day All!!! Thanx again,
Brandi

no problem if you have a laptop install it onto that and you can do computer aided evp all you gotta do is plug a mic in to the computer and hit record. then you'll be able to see the soundwaves as they are being recorded and it'll make it easier to detect if something is said due to the spikes in the soundwaves. =) thats my favorite way to do evp.

Brauvura, I'm lucky I even know how to login so I can't help with software.

I saw a really interesting show once where this man was doing the same thing as your niece. Did it for years. He was in an antique shop delivereing something.....sees this clock, and freaks. It was some Midwestern town. The place was close to his home. He says unexplainably to the owner "I know the engraving in that clock". There it was. So they did past life regression. He was a Jew murdered in a Poland death camp. Knew his name, and all. Knew about his family. Every little detail. They researched it, and bingo.

Supposedly so many Jews died at once that they're supposedly still reincarnating. I think they meant that it upset the natural law of things. I hope you get to the bottom of this with your niece. Poor kid must wake up exhausted. Good luck. Just wanted to share that.

That is amazing about your neice- I bet you are anxious to understand what she is saying! I would be too. As far as EVPs I use a program called Wavepad. I love it- it is really easy to use. I downloaded it and it is FREE from the site- not sure where but you could look it up on yahoo search.
