Wow, that was a great episode last night. I wasn't happy with the shift split but I really liked last night. As a shipper I have to say that was a terrific GSR moment, I just wish there was more of it but I knew there would only be a little because they're going to be dealing with Sara's past during February sweeps, to tell the truth there was more than I thought there would be. Jorja Fox and William Petersen are so great, there was a lot going on in that little scene and I'm pretty sure that Sara telling Grissom that she sometimes looks for validation in inappropriate places was more about telling him that something happened to her in the past that was really bad than about their relationship specifically. There sure seemed to be something going on that she said and he understood that we haven't been told yet. I've actually watched this scene over and over again obsessively. [Embarrassed]

If you don't watch CSI your going to be totally confused by this, sorry, you really should give it a try because it's a great show.

By the way, Nick was totally hot in this ep. Normally I'm not a big Nick fan, I like him but he's not my favorite, but in this ep we got to see him in action big time and he was great. Between the GSR and Nick I think my temp shot sky high. [Wink]

Trin, you gotta find someone who has it on tape!

I watch Miami and New York too but my heart belongs to the original. I've grown pretty attatched to Miami but I've been luke warm on New York, though now that they're lightening it up some I think it'll be better. I do adore Gary Sinise though, I hope he get's to take his shirt off soon- That's the cool thing about CSI, there's lot's of eye candy for women, well on the original anyway.

I love CSI. I have not watched last night's episode but I have in on tape. Ah Trin if you were only my neighbour I'd head over and watch it with you. I agree I'm a huge fan of the original and I do enjoy Miami but am not as thrilled with the NY one. Yep the eye candy is good. What I nice change. It's usualy only eye candy for the guys. Like a lot of movies they show female nudity and various undress, your lucky to see a flash of the lead man without the shirt on, never mind a little butt shot. [Laughing]

Renee once I read the line last nights episode I quickly stopped reading and scrolled on down. As soon as I watch it this weekend I'll come back and read your comments and let you know what I think. I'm guessing that is part of your post. =)

Hi Renee,

I couldn't wait so watched it tonight after The Village.

I agree I'm not liking the split shift and I'm not too fond of Catherine in the boss role. She seems to have a bit of an air about her and a little more fluffy then usual. If she flung her hair one more time .... [Laughing] Nick was superb in this episode. Sara and Grissom are my fav's and I agree there was a lot going on in that scene. I too think it's leading into Sara's past being revealed, that validation statement was telling. Grissom's look almost seemed to say I know you have Demons and I also know it's time for you to deal with them? Her pausing and looking down said whatever it is it's not good. Something bad happened to her and it may be that she also did something bad as a result of it sort of a double-sided thing. Do you recall the episode where the case they were working on triggered her to reflect back a bit? I may still have a few past episodes on tape, I'll take a look through them as there may be a clue in that episode. It will take time for it all to be told and I wouldn't be surprised if part of this years cliff hanger involves Sara and the fall out from things being brought to light. I hope it brings her and Grissom closer together and not put a wedge between them. Things may heat up a bit yet with Catherine and Warrick which could complicate her new boss role and this split-shift. I hope it does so they go back to the old way. =) This episode was a little creepy with the snake in the head and the sort of black magic thing.

I'm setting the tape now for the next episode. [Big Grin]

Hey Cat, glad you enjoyed it too. I can't wait to see if we're right. I'm so impatient! I think the ep your talking about with Sara is "No Humans Involved", that was the one where Greg found the little boy in the box and Sara revealed that she had been in the foster care system. At the end of "No Humans" Sara looks up an old court case 'The People vs Laura Sidle W/2 Modesto, Ca. 1984'. Your right that it probably will take time for us to find out all of it, if at all but we have been promised that it will be an issue during February sweeps(TV Guide blurb) so I'm hopeful. I think it will aslo involve Grissom a great deal and, as any good GSR shipper, I think it'll bring them closer. I haven't been able to quite get into the Catherine/Warrick ship yet - still waiting to get used to the new shifts- but that is promised for May sweeps. The snake was pretty creepy but I think the rat in the mouth in "The Hunger Artist" (Season 2 finale) was creepier. [Shock] But the asolute creepiest on for me was the whole clown sex thing! Eeeeeeewwwwwwww.

If your interested in book marking an episode guide this is a really good one: CSI Files[/URL]

Forgot to add, the 'black magic' is actually Santeria- I don't really know much about it except that it seems to be a combination of a lot of thing. It sound sort of like Mexican Voodoo.

Hi Renee,

I was thinking Mexican Vodoo at first but wasn't sure so opted to go with Black Magic as I couldn't recall what they called it when I was typing the reply. Thanks for that. Creepy anyway. There have been a few episodes that have left me with the heebie jeebs and/or bothered by it. This show is so well done and gives you a look into things that happen everyday in this big world. I watch the re-runs on Spike they have these little marathons a cpl times a week at least that gives you a few episodes in a row to watch. I've missed some each season it seems so it's nice to catch up. This year I decided to tape every week so I don't miss. Wish I had done that with Miami as well as I've missed some already this year. Oh well they are on Spike re-runs too so will catch up with those missed in due time.

Yes, that was the episode, No Humans. Hmmm I'm like you, can't wait to know. =) Thanks for that link will be checking in there every now and then, neat info. Were you an X-Files fan? I was but I have to say I am an even bigger CSI fan. I really hope the original actors and the roles they play will be maintained as long as new episodes are made. I don't mind new roles/ppl being added but the dynamic of a show can change too much if key ppl are removed. So whatever this is with Sara I hope it doesn't result in her being written off.

Well now that I know you and Trin are fans I'll pop back into this thread and give my spin once in awhile on any new developments and see what yours are. No worry about adding a spoiler note as I won't peek in till I'm up to date on the episodes should I miss the Thursday air. [Big Grin]

You were an X-phile too huh? I have a feeling that a lot of CSI fans were X-philes, truthfully I think that some of the folks that make CSI were big fans because there are certainly similarities. I just hope that the creators of CSI know exactly where the X-Files went wrong and are doing their best to avoid that. As a true X-phile I stayed with the show until the end- even without Mulder I was able to enjoy it but the last season resulted it my having temper tantrums that culminated into nasty screaming fits twice (try to guess which ep's those were [Laughing] ). Sad to say, ever sice the series finale, I was so incensed that I haven't watched a single ep, I have ton's of X-Files tapes that ended up shoved in hole in my closet and literally are just sitting there catching dust. I just couldn't believe that Chris Carter pissed on his loyal fans that way. Excuse me a minute while I breath deeply.

Well, no fear about Jorja Fox getting written off, aside from this summer's fiasco- which was CBS's fault- I believe she has a 7 yr. contract. Your right, it just wouldn't be the same without our beloved characters.

It's a bummer that there's not a new ep next week but we'll get "Swap Meet" which was a pretty good one.

Oh, I didn't know about the Santeria thing either, I don't think they actually said what the guy was on the show, other than a coyote, I had to ask hubby and he knew.

Hmmm my guess would be William and I think it was called Jumping Shark? There were a few disappointing ep's in the final year I thought. Mostly though I was not happy with the Lone Gunmen meeting their demise and Scully giving William away like that. The finale left some questions still and failed to deliver in true X-Files style. I had hoped another feature film would be done that would continue from there, answering those lingering questions yet leaving us hungry for more. Perhaps they still will? They air re-runs and maybe I'll start checking them out. I always seemed to miss some ep's each season so wouldn't mind seeing those. =)

Good to hear Jorja Fox has a 7 yr contract. [Gasp] no new ep next week? How did I miss hearing that? Oh well I still enjoy re-runs so will be tuning in. =)

You're half right, the screaming fits would be Jumping the Shark and the Finale. The whole William thing was upsetting too, it just got way to weird and melodramatic for me.

Cat, if you check the link I posted, there's a sidebar that lists upcoming ep's for all three shows, that's how I usually know what ep's coming up and if it's a rerun or not.
