The images being sent by the European space probe Huygens of Saturan's largest moon Titan are already incredible and it's reported the best pics are set to debute shortly. How amazing that recognizable features such as river channels, shorelines and hills have already been noted giving earth-like images. These images are said to be unlike those from other moons and planets which show deserts and carters. It's exciting that reports indicate the lander lived much longer than the engineers had expected. The surface temp is nearly 180 degrees below zero celsius - ouch that's cold. Most interesting is the Scientist theorize Titan as it is now is similar to what Earth was four billion years ago and the chemical reactions going on resemble those that are believed to have started life of this planet. Incredible when you think about it.

I can't wait to see the rest of the images that will be shared with the world. Just makes you wonder what is out there not only within our milky way but far beyond? =)

I saw a few of the images Cat, and they were incredible! They resemble earth so much. Is there an official site? If you find any new news please post it. Thanks

Hi Bobbygee

I'm not sure if there is an official Titan site but the one below seems to fit it's ESA - European Space Agency.

They provide some really good info and a few pics (not sure any new ones have been added yet). When you click on the full story link be sure to check out the sounds of Titan (right side bar) of the full story page. They have an acoustic recording and radar conversion one. The first reminded me of rain or ocean sounds, wind like even the radar sounds are pretty neat. Let me know what you think.

If I come across some other info that's different than this I'll post it. Can't wait to see more of the images. =)
