Yall knew, being the CourtTv Queen, that I wasn't going to let this one go by without starting a new thread on it. -

Ok, today, the judge said he had plenty of prospective jurors, they have 200+ now. So, they're going to start weeding though them. I can't wait for this one to get going.

I would like to say here, that Michael Jackson, was one of the most talented people and I used to really love to watch him dance (he got a lot of his moves from Fred Astaire.) However... the man is sicko. I watched the video which the judge allowed him to present, and then watched the one he did 10 years ago...same old, same old. He quietly, denied he did anything wrong. CourtTV had a special on last night, "Inside The Mind of Michael Jackson," with people who had worked for him, expert psychologists, lawyers, etc... One thing I found interesting, is that they said Michael Jackson does think it's ok to lie, where it concerns his public image. This comes from him covering abuse he suffered when he was a child performer, at the hands of his father, among other things.

Some of the evidence found at Neverland has come to light. A lot of it was "child eroctica." One of the books confiscated from Jackson's home in 1993 is a rare book, published in 1964, and contains dozens of photographs of nude prepubescent boys, many in suggestive poses. There were movies, magazines, (one of the child porn magazines has both Jackson's and the victim's fingerprints on it.) If you want to read more about the evidence they got from his ranch, you can go to Evidence from Neverland[/URL] Now, I ask you... what normal "man" has this kind of porn? I mean, girlie magazines, yeah... but looking a nude little boys? [Sigh] Not only that, but giving alcohol to young boys, and taking advantage of a young boy who was sick with cancer. It's totally inexcusable, and sickening, and regardless of his not having a "childhood," that doesn't give him the right to ruin someone else's. There's a lot going on in Jackson's disturbed mind for sure. There are also a few others coming forth with evidence that is indisputable.

Another interesting little note here, he had an alarm system set up, motion detector, etc... so if any one came with 50 feet of his bedroom door, an alarm would go off and a light flashes in the bedroom, so he had plenty of time to get out of the bed and get himself and his "boy toys" presentable. [Ugh]

I'll wait until the trial gets underway before I make a final decision, but I'm leaning towards "guilty" and I think he's going to get jail time. If he does, they better put him on suicide watch, because I guarantee ya, he won't be able to handle it.

It's sad, that someone so talented, with the potential to do so much good, has come to this. If yall want to get really informed on everything that is going on with this trial, visit CourtTV's website, they have the full story from the very beginning at

This will be an interesting case to follow. Unless his family forks over some major payola, I don't think they'll get him out of this one.

I think the accuser's mother is a piece of work herself, and I know the Jackson defense is going to drag and stomp her in the mud. I really don't doubt she set her child up for this. After all the stuff in the 90's, who in their right mind would let their kid hang out with Michael Jackson?! Unfortunately, her character may be the one thing that let's Jackson walk free.

I agree, Pate. If he does serve time, that will be the end of him. Unless he is given preferential treatment, the fellows in prison are going to take a very dim view of him and his activities. Compound that with his emotional fragility...I agree, they better put him on a suicide watch.

Like you said, the guy had a rotten childhood; but a lot of folks do and they don't become fixated on little kids. It is a shame a person with all that talent has come to this, and an even bigger shame that the people around him allowed it to happen. [Sigh]

The guy seriously creeps me out. As a kid I used to be a fan(back when he still looked fairly normal), in fact I still have his 'Bad' album- but there's no getting around the fact that this guy is off his rocker and has been that way for a long time. I think he's as guilty as can be. My oppinion isn't really based on any evidence that was found, but this question: For the sake of arguement say that we was innocent as he claimed the first time around, if that was true then how in the hell did he manage to get in the same position again? Why did he not take precautions against further unfounded accuasations? Why did he continue sleeping in the same bed with children? It doesn't make sense to me, an innocent man doesn't tell the media how 'sweet' it is to sleep with children. The really disgusting thing for me is that I can't decide who is more at fault, Micheal Jackson-who is obviously a sick person, or the parents of the children who let their kids go there unchaperoned or supervised in any way- knowing of the accuasations made against him and knowing of him admitting to sleeping in the same bed with them. This is not the behavior of a normal man! It makes me sick to think that some of these parents sent their kids in hopes of being able to sue and make money.

Ugh!!!

I've never been a fan. Every time I looked at the guy I always felt something wrong. An amazingly talented individual. A creative genius.
But I always sensed that his sexuality was not healthy. That is not an indictment in itself. It's what he's done in the past couple of decades.

If the suit was filed in California he can't pay off the filers. It is now law that if you file suit for this type of crime you have to follow it through. They got sick of the wealthy paying off filers to drop the case to get out of going to jail.

I really hope he gets convicted and sentenced to mental health services. I agree that he wouldn't last long in jail. It would cause him more damage. Not that he doesn't deserve it for the things he's done. I don't think I will ever get the image of him hanging his baby out of a window by the feet. Personally had I been there I would have gotten violent.

Let's all hope that justice is served and he gets what he needs to get healthier.

I don't know if anyone else caught it or not, but watching the video today of a pajama clad Michael Jackson entering and exiting the courtroom, claiming severe back problems and pain something very odd struck me. In some of the shots, it clearly shows him several times, swiveling around to say something to one of his guards, and casually raising his arms to wave to supporters.

Now, I've had some pretty painful back problems in the past and had to seek medical treatment. I know of numerous others who have. During my bouts with back injuries, I was never able to swivel around like that, or raise my arms without wincing a little. I've never seen nor heard of anyone else who was able to either.

Anyone else catch this? I'm convinced this guy is unraveling even further. I thought for a while that Mesereau might be able to keep a lid on his weirdness, but Mesereau's panicked phone calls outside the trial to locate Jackson and get him there prove otherwise. Just as an observation, it does appear that Jackson is either attempting to invoke sympathy from the jury and the public, or his mental state is such that he is clearly disturbed over having to face his accuser -- either doesn't look good for the defense.

I personally believe the guy is guilty, but he does deserve a fair trial. However, the odd behavior he exhibits may make him even more difficult to defend. [Nutty]

Well i have to agree micheal is pretty weird and definetly not normal.
They had an article in today's San Antonio Express News about the accusers family calling Jay Leno
and he asked this woman comedian to tell them to stop calling his voice mail.I don't recall the woman's name, but she met jackson's accuser at something the Laugh Factory organized for underpriviliged kids.
She was approached by the boy's father and the lady gave them $10,000 when she found the boy had cancer. She even organized a couple of benefits for the kid. At the second one, according to the paper, comedian George Lopez refused to preform, because the Boy and his father accused Lopez and his wife of stealing 300 dollars from the kid's wallet!!!
I think also they said the father was the main one who went around trying to work celebreties for money.
My sister works for Court Tv.They figure that the trial will last six months. Jessica leaves new York next week to go to California for three weeks. She has to cover the trial. Not as a reporter, but behind the scences as a technican. She is Court tv's assignment editor.
The only good thing about she told me was she should be getting almost 5,000 frequent flyer miles
for this trip. She has to fly into LA,then take a flight to Santa Maria.
