Thank you all who have given me advice. I truly appreciate it. I haven't gotten a chance to get on line as I had electricians here for two days.

The light in our kitchen had stopped working I guess maybe a month ago. The chandelier in our dinning room did the same a week or so after. Although my mom is scarred to death of fire we couldn't right now financially call out an electrician. We just got done paying for our stall shower caving in to the living room. No home insurance either.

My brother was by to visit. He went to switch on the light, and of course nothing. He demanded to know how long that was going on. We all shrugged. He called electricians, and they came in on Friday. They started with the kitchen. Here all of the wiring was frayed, and scorched or something. It moved down to the living room. This kid/electrician said "You know how lucky you are you didn't have an awful fire? You are so lucky"

I'm thinking maybe that lady was trying to send us a warning somehow. The exploding glass in the kitchen. Hiding the chocolate way up high on the clock by the cahndelier. The metal crutch in our umbrella stand is smack right under our fuse box. I'm thinking this could certainly be it.

The other weird thing is one of the apprentices that came with the electrician called me downstairs to the fuse box. He said "Miss you know somebody's looking out for you", I never ever said a word about a ghost or spirit to these guys. Please. He goes I think it's a----he said some word in French. Here he's from Haiti. I'm like what the heck is that? He said "Like something how can I say? Like a Harry Potter person to Americans". Alrighty then stranger thing I suppose can happen. Harry Potter? I guess he was searching for the right word.

Wow!

Fraidykat, that definitely sounds like your ghosty was looking out for you. It just seems like too much of a coincidence to be anything else. Definitely sounds like she was trying to give you a heads up to have things looked at. I'm so glad that you didn't have a fire and that everything is taken care of now. I would consider yourself lucky to have someone keeping an eye on things. [Wink]

Agreed, Fraidykat. Consider yourself fortunate. My house burned down on 1/25, and we didn't have any helpful ghosties to warn us.

Make sure to say thanks to yours, as it likely saved your house and possessions, and possibly your family as well.

It sure does sound like you have someone watching over you. =) I'm so glad to hear that you were able to locate the electrical problems (with some unseen help) before a fire did occur. You know when activity happens we often don't understand the how or why and it's great when one day the reason for some of it becomes evident, especially when it's a warning, as it was here for you.

We have had things occur with our electrical in past as well, including two seperate times when a fire should have happened. I believe whoever was playing with our electrical was giving us warnings. Although I can say that now I can tell you at the time the electrical was doing screwy things that thought did not cross our minds.

Kevin I too wish a helpful ghostie would have provided warning to you. [Sigh] You know it was just lucky that we were home both times our problems happened as a fire would have resulted if we hadn't been, despite the warnings I feel we were given. It's so hard to understand why things happen as they do sometimes.((hugs))

Thanks for sharing Fraidykat, do let us know if anything more happens,

hugs Cat =)
