We just got back from Gettysburg PA after spending a very active 5 nights. My mother was with us and we had a two room combination deal. We had a smoking ghost that would travel from our room through my moms and it was just like somone was smoking in our room. This happened often. My mom got her bed shook a few times and had a cigar smoking ghost in the shower with her. She got very angry because the whole room filled up with cigar smoke and she couldn't breathe and all her clothes and towels reaked of cigar smoke that were in there with her. She yelled out that there is only room for one in the shower and to please leave. My bible would not stay open to psalm 101 like I always do to remove any negativity. Our room was very cold and the radiators would start banging just like someone was taking a wrench or a hammer to them. This would happen real loud when you were sound a sleep. Mom said she saw black shadows moving around in our room. We did a little ghost adventuring two nights without mom cause she couldn't handle it. It was me, Marvin and Zach.
Marvin kept seeing the shadows of men walking around in the wheatfield and we did get some pictures. He could see them with his own eyes which is a knew experience for him. Zach saw it too, but I couldn't see because of the reflection off of my glasses. I saw a white misty ball flow across in front of the van when were driving through the battlefields. I felt the spirits all around us and If I am not imagining things I think we got some very interesting pictures. I will explain them as I post them. thanks

Sounds like an interesting and eventful trip! I've heard so many stories about Gettysburg; I don't know if I've ever met anyone who has been there and hasn't experienced something.

I remember years ago, a reenactor friend telling me there had even been a ghost siting in one of the t-shirt shops!

I'm still wanting to go; hopefully, once we get the next adoption done we can get back to doing fun things like that again!

Hi Carrie and Trinity,
Yes its always an amazing place. I am never dissapointed. Seeing a ghost in the t-shirt place is probably more commen then you think cause if you think about it the battle happened everywhere in the town itself. So most of these places are original or were built on battlefields. I saw something weird too. There was this coffee shop or small restaurant that had a bunch of rocking chairs in the front. It was closed and dark and when we drove by I saw people rocking in the chairs and when I looked back they were gone. Zach saw it too. The town is just loaded with ghosts. We went to tour the Shriver house as well, which is in town. Its going to be on If walls could talk in the fall so keep looking for it. Anyway she told how the lady who lived there with her two daughters was so scared about the fighting in the streets that she took her two daughters and the neighbor girl Tillie Pierce to her parents farm a few miles out for protection. Little did she know she went from the frying pan into the fire. Her parents house was right smack in the middle of some of the worse fighting in the battle. The house was right by Little Round Top next to the valley of death and devils den. Tillie pierce the neighbor girl wrote the most accurate and best diary of her experiences during the battle and after. They all ended up treating the wounded. The house is still there and in one piece. Its called the Weikart Farm. Carrie, you just have to go.
