Hello,

The other night my family and I were in the kitchen when the fan on are microwave turned on. I turned expecting to see my son fooling with but no one was near it. Then this moring my wife was taking a shower the water in the bathroom sink water turned on. My wife says she hears thing upstairs but I have yet to hear those noises, she does not think it is her grandma anymore though.

Well, it sounds like something is trying to let you know they are there! Have you tried asking it to leave things alone?

Sounds interesting. At first I was thinking, a malfunction or power surge could have caused the microwave to do that, but there's no electrical gremlin that can turn the bathroom faucet on. =)

Of course, the son that was almost blamed for the microwave could have sneaked into the bathroom and turned the sink on, but it sounds to me like she didn't see anyone at the sink at the time, right?

Why does she not think it's her grandmother? In many cases, hauntings are by relatives, especially if the house has been in the family for multiple generations. Sometimes the ancestors don't want to move out, or they want to watch over their (great...) grandchildren. =)

Hi Eccman:

I was wondering if you know the history of your home, is it an older home, or any reason to think it would be haunted? Just because whatever this presence is, turned on the microwave and the water in the bathroom, doesn't mean it's not the grandmother. Does your wife get "scared" or have a feeling of this being a malevolent presence? Try taking some pics around the house, especially when something like this happens. If your wife or son is uncomfy with it, try simply asking it to leave. Also, would you have any reason to suspect that the grandmother did not cross over? Or maybe, she did and is just visiting now and then, letting yall know she's there. =) I remember responding to your post about the dream you had. I still think that was astral travel, and perhaps the grandmother accompanied you on your return, to help you back into your physical body. Sounds to me like she crossed over, but is visiting at times. Something to think about...

Hugs,
Pate

Hi Eccman,

It definitely does sound like someone is trying to get all of your attention. I was wondering though, what is it about these past few happenings that makes your wife believe that it's not her Grandmother? Is it just a feeling that she's getting? I have to agree with Pate, does she feel uncomfortable when things happen?

Knowing the history of the home can help clue you in on what may be going on too, or who may be trying to grab your attention.

I also agree with Pate that it sounds as if your wife's Grandmother is visiting at times and maybe not a permanent fixture. Maybe these things happening are just her way of letting everyone know that she's there for a visit.
