Hey everyone! I'm looking for some opinions.

Saturday night me and 4 of my friends went ghost hunting after the movies. 2 of the girls were in my car and our other friend and her b/f were in another car. We went up to Guernsey Hollow Cemetery again (I've posted about that place before) at 3am. Nothing really out of the ordinary... a few strange noises... that's about it tho.

Here's were it gets wierd.. Me and the 2 other girls that were in my car were all sick the next day! All had nausea and heartburn. It wasn't like we all could have come down with the same thing either because we hadn't seen each other in weeks so the chances that we all caught the same bug on the same day is kinda unlikely I think. We talked and there is nothing we all did that night that would cause it.

So here's what I'm wondering... Since the other two that went with us didn't get sick... is it possible that it could have had something to do with the cemetery and maybe the 3 of us are more sensitive to the paranormal than the other 2? It's probably nothing but it was just kinda strange. =P

Hi Candi! Did you go out before or after for a bite to eat? Could it have been a reaction to something like that? Also, if a stomach virus is going around, it would be very possible not to have come into contact with each other, but with other people carrying the bug. Check with the others to see if anyone at work/school/socially might have had similar symptoms.

I don't know about heartburn, but I have on a very rare occasion or two experienced nausea in some locations. Usually it happens (for me) where very tragic things have occured and stops immediately after I leave the premises. It may be that you and your friends did indeed pick up on something that caused you to react physically -- it does happen to some people who are sensitive. Or, it might just be a bad burrito! =P [Wink]

Hey Carrie,
I was one of the girls Candi was talking about. We considered all of those possibilities! We were with a lot of people that night and none of them felt sick, and the three of us are more prone to being "scared" of the paranormal. Do you know of any sites/resources that discuss sensitivity?

Feiticeira, you may want to check out this site: http://www.geocities.com/christabelle67/TheEmpathReport101PtI.html[/URL] A lot of people highly recommend the books by Sylvia Browne regarding psychic ability (although, this is not always the same thing as sensitivity or empath ability, it is more of a form of it). I am personally lukewarm on Sylvia -- some of the stuff I agree with, some of it I don't, but as I said, a lot of folks really like her and you may want to check it out. Check out other books that generally deal with developing psychic ability, because there is often mention of sensitivity.

Sensitives/Empaths tend to "absorb" emotions from people around them and even areas. Some people who are highly sensitive have difficulty being in large crowds of people and find the experiences to be overwhelming. For me, and I've seen others on the board discuss this, going to a place like an antique store can put you on "psychic overload" with too many things coming at you at once. Antique/vintage clothing is generally the one that throws a lot of people for a loop.

Sensitivity is an interesting topic, someone here may have more specific information in regards to reading suggestions. I'll keep looking and see if I come up with anything else.

Could it also be possible you may have gotten "worked up" into an emotional state? Maybe a little too much excitement -- wanting something to happen and not wanting it to? I've had a "nervous stomach" all my life and have had many times, even when I was looking forward to something positive, that I'd find myself with a dose of Pepto Bismol or non-drowsy Dramamine because my stomach was doing flip flops. Always look for the logical answers first. [Wink]
