As some of you may remember I have mentioned before the strange happenings at my work place. Nothing really frightening, just the general odd noises and catching glimpses of shadows that shouldn't be there. Today we were having issues with our front door. It's supposed to be remote locking and we are supposed to have to buzz people in however as of late the door has decided it wants to stick open. Maintance sent down the same guy who orginally worked on our office, before we opened up. I was alone in the office today when he came in so we chatted a bit. After he had been there about a half hour he asked me if he could ask me something and if I would promise not to think he was nuts. I told him sure, go ahead. He proceeded to ask me if when I was alone in the office if I had ever heard or seen anything strange. When I told him yes he looked very relieved and told me that when he was working on the office he was quite often there alone. Apparently one day he heard footsteps upstairs. The upstairs of our building is only used for storage and at that time no one but this guy should have been in the building. He said that he went upstairs to check it out because he was certain that someone was up there. Of course when he got upstairs there was no one there. About a week later he had been working all day and decided to use his lunch hour for a nap. At the time there was a couch upstairs. The upstairs had apparently been used as an apartment before our company leased the building. He went upstairs to lay down for a bit, he said that he was only up there about 15 minutes before he got so shook up he had to come back downstairs and leave for a bit. The upstairs of the building is very uncomfortable. He described it as "spooky and creepy, you're a brave woman to go up those stairs at all!" We have an office up there that no one uses, there is literally dust on the desk. It's one of those in and out as quick as you can when you go up there. We've been calling our ghost Frank as of late. He seems to be fine as long as the upstairs stays neat and we don't come up there much, although I get the feeling he visits us downstairs a lot. I"m just really glad a big ol' burly man admitted that he too had felt something there and it's not just a figament of the collective imagination of the hysterical women that work there!!

Cool story! Has anyone tried shooting some pics or running a video camera or sound recorder up there to see if it picks up anything?

Maybe you can find out the history of the place. If it was an apartment in the past, find out if something happened there.

I'm jealous. None of my regular "haunts" are haunted. My house, work, the apartment we're staying in now, no ghosties in any of them. I have to live vicariously though all of you, and get my "fix" at the occasional stop at a haunted restaurant.

The girl I work with and I ponder taking one of the security tapes home just to see if anything gets picked up, but thus far we are big babies. As for the history of the building. It's an old old building, orginally a private home, then a feed store of sorts, an insurance office/apartment and now my place of business. If I get brave enough to take one home and watch it I'll let you know. I"m there by myself quite a bit and I don't know what I'd do if I actually saw Frank walking around the office. The odd noises and shadows I can handle seeing him in his full glory...just not sure i'm ready yet lol

Hey Miranda,

That is a neat story. I agree, it's nice to know that someone outside of the office has felt things too. Kind of confirms what you ladies already knew.

I'm guessing that since you've named him Frank, that it definitely feels like a male presence to you.

I'm with you Miranda, as curious as I would be to see those tapes...I'd be hesitant too for the same reason. Feeling a presence there and then actually seeing it on tape are two different things [Eek!] Do let us know if you find anything if you decide to watch one.

That IS a cool story! As much as I love that kind of stuff, I have only had one encounter with a "ghostie" & that happened at my ex-brother-in laws house which by the way, is VERY HAUNTED!!! If anyone would like to hear any of the happenings at that house, please don't hesitate to email me, or just post on here, whichever, & I'd be more than happy to share them with you...take care, Clarissa

Yes, Clarissa, please do tell your story! Start another thread if you don't mind. I love ghost stories, guess that's why I hang out on here!
