My husband works for a company that owns a large, upscale RV park that caters to affluent, older people. Several months ago, just a few yards from his office a brutal murder took place. An elderly man shot and killed his wife, daughter, son-in-law and 15 year old grandson. The day it happened, I even had an odd experience that I posted about regarding the incident.

The home sat vacant for several months, but I noticed this week it had just been put up for sale.

I had gone to James' office to meet him for lunch with our 2 1/2 year old, Brianna. James and I had not been talking about the place or the incident. In fact, I can't recall ever mentioning the incident in front of Brianna. As we drove by the house, Brianna blurted from her car seat, "Mama, I don' like dat 'pooky place."

The only time she may have even heard the word "spooky" would have been from "Scooby Doo." I ask her if the house bothered her and she said "Yes. Mama, go the other way!" She actually seemed to be physically uncomfortable. I've got to admit that I find myself physically shuddering whenever I go by the house.

I know we've had discussions on the board before regarding children and what they sense and see, but this incident really illustrated it for me. We're extremely careful about what Brianna sees on TV and she isn't around other kids very much and when she is, she is supervised closely. So, I know this wasn't anything she picked up from anyone else. Just thought it was an interesting little incident.

Yes, that is very interesting.
Children are so "in tune". They are so sensitive with their feelings.
I don't think I would want to live in that home.
What a terrible tragedy.

I agree children are more sensitive or tuned in to the energies that we may not be or at least they seem to pick up on them quicker or easier. Sounds like Brianna did pick up on something. I recall the previous post you did on your experience as well. With such a horrific tragedy as this was, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the poor souls that died there have remained earthbound. There must be so much residual negative energy within the house as well. So sad, I sure hope it's only negative energy that you both picked up on and not an earthbound.

I've thought about the same thing, Cat. The last family member he shot was his fifteen year old grandson. I remember periodically seeing the boy in the park, a tall, gangly, quiet dark haired boy who was by all accounts a really good kid. The boy had almost escaped to the back door when he was shot. It is hard to fathom anyone doing that to another person, let alone their own flesh and blood. =(
I can't imagine how terrifying that child's last few minutes on earth must have been.

It's even more tragic to hear that the grandson nearly escaped his grandfather's rath. =(

It is beyond words really to think someone could do this and as you say let alone to their own flesh and blood. What could possibly go on in a person's mind to even approach the thought? It would likely be best if the house was torn down but that wouldn't necessarily help if one of them has remained earthbound as they would likely still stay where the house sits now. It may help though if it is residual energy that is causing the feelings you and likely others are getting from the place. I can't imagine another family living there or even wanting to live there knowing what occured. [Sigh]

BTW have you noticed any other times that Brianna has picked up on something, bet it a negative or positive energy?
