Hi everyone! This is something I try to participate in every year. It is an art auction that one of my favorite charities, Love Without Boundaries puts on to benefit children in need of heart surgery in Chinese orphanages. Many of the tykes that have been helped have gone on to be adopted by families from America and all over the world. This is a very reputable charity, and I've talked to the folks that run it many times. The work they do and the lengths they go to help these children is just amazing. So, if anyone gets a chance, do some bidding. Only about 11 hours left, but there is a lot of really beautiful artwork and other items; plus, you'll be giving a little one another chance at life. That, in itself is priceless!

Wow Carrie there are some really nice pieces in that auction. Especially that "I Believe" acrylic on canvas.

The auction is over, I haven't heard how much money was made, but I know they must have gotten a good amount. Medical care in China isn't that expensive by our standards, but to those folks it is enormous. These little ones in the orphanages who have no family, have no way of paying for serious problems and funding often comes from charities and organizations like Love Without Boundaries.

Was out of town for a cpl of days so just saw the post now. Had a peek at the site and gosh some great pieces were put up for auction. I sure hope the auction raised a lot of money, judging by the pieces I'm guessing they did. Love Without Boundaries is a wonderful charity, sounds like they are doing very important and special work.
