Hi Y'all. I hope you all have been well and good things coming all your way. We have been doing pretty good. Just got home from vacation. Gettysburg was nice, but nothing too paranormal for me, but Marvin saw a horse and rider come over the battlefield road in front of him in the van driving in the pouring rain. He found that pretty interesting. He is seeing more and more things as he gets older. My mom went to a phsychic and she told my mom that my dad was going to send her some signs and the next day on her window in her condo she saw writing on her windows. He wrote her name with xxx0000's and his name and dates and some things she couldn't make out. It was nice to know he has such incredible energy that he was able to do this. He comes to me with the smell of what they bathed him with before he passed. It was a strong after shave or something, but I recognized it immedietly and it waifs into the living room when I am in there alone at night. Its often followed with the smell of cinnamin buns. I haven't figured who that one is yet. Its always at night when I am alone that this happens and its not scary in any way. Its comforting. I miss my dad very much and its nice to know he checks on me. I enjoy my time alone at night its my time where I sit and crochet in front of the tv. I love doing the glass, but I like to expand my horizons and wind down doing something else at night. I also love to watch all the ghost shows when I can catch them. Anyone else been watching most haunted on the travel channel on fri nights? I like that Derek guy. I am sending positive energy and love to you all.
hugs
Mary

Hi Mary! Wow, how cool about the writing on your mom's window! I know that meant a lot to her.

For several months after my father passed away, I would smell his cologne periodically and it was always comforting to me. Several years before, I had started buying him a rather distinct and slightly expensive fragrance and ended up getting him hooked on it -- never would tell him how much I paid for that stuff because I loved spoiling him. Anyway, he loved it and always wore it, so I could always recognize the scent. There is just something about Dad's and their daughters. We never stop being their little girls, even beyond this existance. =)

I've been catching the Most Haunted show on the Travel Channel, but I've got to confess, I can't stand the Derek guy! [Laughing] Waayyy too melodramatic for me. I do however, really like the other psychic guy they sometimes have on and I like the lady who is the investigator. I have to chuckle when she gets so jumpy, but she is likeable. Can't wait for Ghost Hunters new season on Sci Fi!

Thank you for the well wishes Mary. I'm glad you, Marvin and the family are doing so well.
Hmm, maybe Marvin should get a CAT scan. [Wink] just kidding. As some people mature they become more open. As soon as he starts seeing lottery numbers, call me. =)

As bad as nasty ghosts and hauntings are the good contacts are just so good. I've had contacts with a lot of good spirits and it's always been very nice (after the initial shock of course). I'm glad your Dad is comforting your Mom. Thanks for the nice story.

I've been watching that show too. Though I'm kinda torn about Derek though (if he is the one I'm thinking of). He's a bit on the dramatic. To be on TV you have to be but it just kind of puts me off to see psychics acting so. The shows are kind of neat but as always they never really get anywhere. But it is nice they are using psychics. That show on SCIFI with those Rhode Island guys is not as good as the Travel Channel one. They never get anything, no pschics and they fight, snip, backstab, ...pretty petty antics. Though I have a tendency to believe the people whom they interview. These people really believe they have ghosties. And this group of ghost hunters never really seem to help. They even seem to have dropped the demonologist twin guy.

Anyway, it was nice to here from you again. Tell Marvin we said hi.

Hi everyone!

Mary that is really wonderful that your getting some signs from Dad. I know how much it means to have that. Having lost my Mom 1.5 years ago.
I LOVE THE SCI-FI channel! LOL Derek is kind of bombastic isn't he? Then when they all get to screaming I couldn't hear a thing they all keep screaming about hearing? LOL I end up yelling at the television for them to "HUSH" so maybe all the viewers might get to hear something =)
Nice to see you all =)

Hi Mary!

It's nice to see you! Also nice to hear that you've been getting such wonderful signs from your Father. My Mom has been getting a lot of signs from my brother as of late, and just hearing about them (without actually have had experienced them) makes us all feel so much better!

Unfortunately we don't get the travel channel =( So I have yet to see Most Haunted. I keep hearing about it though. Particularly about the one woman who seems to squeel a lot when things happen. [Laughing] There seems to be a lot of great shows on that channel though so I definitely want to look into getting it!

That is wonderful that both you and your Mom are getting signs from your Dad as you have. It most be most comforting to know he is watching out for all of you. Thanks for sharing that with us. =)

I watch the Most Haunted show when I can. I don't mind Derek when he is not being overly dramatic but he can get carried away at times. They don't often capture things on film so we can see what they are but there have been ep's when we get a glimmer of what they have experienced which is pretty cool. There is more screaming and eeks on this show then others I've seen and I do get a kick out of the scaredy pants lady investigator, she is one nervous nelly and fun to watch. I like the fact you get a real feel they are going in trying to obtain proof that a place is haunted vs the feeling they are going in to prove it isn't. I agree Nakis it's nice to see they are open to using psychics and other means to find evidence as it says they are more of an open mind which in my opinion creates a more inviting environment for a ghost or spirit to make it's presence known. Would like to see them return to some of the locations of past to see if they get better results. It would also be neat to see them do an investigation that spans over two or three days vs 24 hours as it may help to increase their chances of capturing that coveted proof. =)

Hi,
I know its taken me awhile to get back to this thread, but yes and investigation over a couple of days is a very good idea. Ghost hunters are always in a hurry to get out of the place and they don't really seem to want to find anything and if they do its usually has to be something that happened to Grant or Jason. Then they have no choice but to say its haunted.
I do enjoy both these shows though and am glad for them. Did anyone catch the new show with jennifer love hewit. It was pretty good.
Hope everyone is doing good. Hugs to everyone.

Wish we had GH here so I can see what the show is like (hear there is lots of drama between the team). Derek has left Most Haunted and I've read he's been accused of lying about not knowing about places ahead of time. He is melodramatic and I'm not keen on his alleged possessions but I still think the guy has some abilities. Skeptics will always find something to cry foul over when it comes to the PN and psychics are great targets for them. Obviously psychics will be wrong (don't think any of the good ones have claimed to be right all the time) and it's funny how skeptics usually focus on the misses vs the hits. The way I see it if someone can be right even 50% of the time that's still something to take note of. I'm not talking about those that read someones body language and gain clues from what they say (fakes really) but the ones who are able to provide information regarding a haunted location or person (they have never met) which turns out accurate. Skeptics expect them to be right 100% of the time and bash them if they are not. Noticed there is less screaming on MH which is good. I did get a kick out scardey pants but I much prefer it w/o the screaming. I also read that we are not being shown the shows in sequence by season like they have been in the UK. The best part of the show is the locations they go to and I do feel weekend investigation vs 24hrs should be explored.

I haven't watched Ghost Whisper yet but want to check it out. Read mixed reviews on it with some saying it's good while others think it's lame (more thumbs down then up). I really like Medium is GW in the same lines as it? I heard a clip on the radio today with Jennifer Love-Hewitt telling someone in an interview that she feels she has ghosts in her home. She's heard footsteps and lights flicker etc. She had a psychic over that stated there are 2 in her home and that they are drawing energy from her. Wonder if she had them before she started taping the show or after? Remember Poltergiest - lots of odd happenings on the set and sadly two of the stars died and the circumstances of their deaths were rather mysterious. I may be wrong but I think one of the crew died on the set as well. Makes you wonder.

I like the fact that PN related shows have taken the forefront these days. I don't like the drama on the reality type ones though as to me it simply gives PN investigating a bad spin and provides opportunity to not take them seriously. =)
