Howdy folks, haven't been around these parts much lately, just been too busy with the house, work and the furkids! =)

Anyway, I'm planning on a little getaway for me and Heather the week(end) around August 8-15 and am wondering if any of you fine folks have experienced any good haunted hotels, inns, or B&Bs in NH, Maine, or Vermont that you can recommend.

A couple places I'm considering are the Brass Lantern Inn[/URL] in Stowe, VT and the Captain Fairfield Inn[/URL] in Kennebunkport, ME.

Right now I'm leaning toward Stowe, since it seems like a nice area (we've been there before) and there's a haunted covered bridge nearby we can check out too. But Kennebunkport has the beach, which is appealing, too.

I need to make reservations soon (today or tomorrow) so I'm hoping to get some quick replies and any ideas, especially for other places that aren't listed when I google for "haunted inns". =)

I think I found the place: Lucerne Inn[/URL] in Holden, Maine. Right on a lake in the upper part of Maine, it's gorgeous in that area. And it has a ghostie, too!

We'll be staying there 8/8 thru 8/11. Maybe we'll get lucky and end up in the haunted room, or experience something while we're up there.

Gorgeous place! I'm envious. Are you sure you and Heather won't let me stowe away in your suitcase? Let us know if you have any paranormal stuff happen while you are there.

Hubby and I have thought Maine would be a really cool vacation spot sometime. I'll have to bookmark that site and see if he takes the hint.

Me too... I hear room 8 is the most haunted. I would be shocked if I got that room! Now that I salvaged my MD recorder I could try and get some recordings. If the microphone arrives before the trip. =)

Oh this sounds like such a wonderful trip Kevin. Like the other ladies I too take little space and won't eat much at all.

That would be awesome if you got room 8, hopefully you do. Just remember don't look under the bed late at night, keep the mirror covered and the closet door shut (just kidding, sort of). Can't wait to hear all about it and fingers are crossed that you have some luck with your recorder and/or camera.
