As many of you know I see spirits since I was little. Anyways, I have seen spirits of everyone I don't know, I guess maybe it's for a reason. Well 2 almost 3 weeks ago I woke up to the smell of cigarette ( spelling =S ) smoke niether Will or I smoke and where i live ( apt complex) the weather seals are tight we have no forced air no windows open nothing to explian the smell, i woke Will up who smelled it to but not strong as i did. i got our box fan turned it on, to get rid of the smell then later when i woke up, i turned it off, not even 3 mins later the smoke smell was back just as bad. At the time I was thought it had to be something. Well, a few days later.. I was at work ( no smokeing in the bulding -i'm 16 floors up btw no one smokes in my office) So... anyways i smelled ciggy smoke again in my office, with my office door closed. My father passed away back in 1996 and was a chain smoker, suddenly I feel that he is with me, tho i can not see him as i do with other spirits I know that sounds weird ( my father was a chain smoker) but i wonder if this is him suddenly watcing over me? I think maybe it could be becuase I am going or about to go thur a diffacult time ( Will is goin overseas-army) for a year next week, my best friend moved away and I have no living family, aka Im alone. So i just wonder if this is him, any thought ? Am i just wishfull thinking?

I would say it is likely your father paying you a visit. On very rare occasions, I've sensed my father around me and smelled his cigar smoke. I think anytime our loved ones on the other side know we are going through a difficult time, they send us little signs to let us know they still care. Try acknowledging his presence the next time you smell the cigarette smoke.

With Will leaving soon for a year of duty, your best friend moved away and you don't have any living relatives is very understandable you would be having feelings of being alone. I feel our loved ones do visit with us often and sometimes they will make it a point of giving us a sign that they are there, especially during times of sadness or celebration.

There is always a chance the smell of smoke was coming in from somewhere at your apartment however with it returning as it did plus it happened at your office (where it's not possible for there to be cig smoke) I too feel this was a sign from your Dad. He wants you to know you are not alone, no matter where you are or what your doing. It may seem like he is suddenly watching over you (as you noted) but my bet is he has been all along, he just wanted to be sure you knew. Listen to your heart it will tell you. =)
