@AZDeb,
Kamp Kenyon was built in the early 70's by members of the Mesa South Stake of the LDS Church. It server for many years as a church camp. I was there many summers beginning in 1973. I, along with many other teenage boy scouts were assigned the task of de-barking the logs that were used to build the cabins as well as the lodge where your pictures were taken. The doorway in the photos leads to the kitchen and the staff quarters. At the opposite end of the lodge is a huge rock fireplace made from rocks that were obtained right there in the area of the camp.
While it makes for an interesting story, no one ever killed themselves there.
