Hi Guys, I am leaving for Gettysburg today and will be coming home Sunday evening. Hopefully I will get some good pictures, but since they have changed the hours at the battlefields its hard to say what I am going to get. Take care and talk to you all soon!

Oh lucky you, that's great Mary! Fingers are crossed that you capture some interesting anomalies, and dble crossed that a ghostly apparition shows him/herself. Try and take 2 photos from the same position/angle etc, as in the event something does show you have a photo (control shot) to compare it with.

It does seem more (potential) captures are had in the cover of darkness, but ghosts/spirits can and do make their presence known in the daylight hours as well. So take lots of photos cause you just never know. =) I would love to visit there one day. I always enjoy hearing the stories from those who have had the opportunity to visit this historic location. Given it's history, it's not surprising that over the years many ppl have reported experiencing things of paranormal nature there.

we'll be out in Gettysburg next weekend, April 22nd... hopefully we have the same kind of luck we had last time... last time we were out we got a full body apparition pic =)

Hey that's great that you will be heading to Gettysburg shortly too Rick. =) Oh awesome you captured a full bodied apparition last time there. Would love to see that pic, if you wouldn't mind posting it? Though I'm guessing we can see it at your site as well, so will try and have a look there. Any other interesting things occur while you were there? Did you see the apparition with the naked eye or only upon viewing the photos?

Hi Cat and everyone,
We are all home. I hope Rick? Has more luck then we did. My camera was acting very strange. My pictures were coming out black and the ones I did get were hard to see. My daytime pictures were fine. I will post what I can and I will post a shortcut in a little bit. We had a nice time, not too paranormal though, but that is okay. There were hundreds of ghost hunters out saturday night and they made it difficult. They were hooting and making bird noises and horsing around.
Everytime I would try to drive and get away from them a car would pull up behind us and follow me around like lost puppies. It was frustrating. On a good note the park is back to being open till 10:00 pm so you have an hour and a half at least of good ghost hunting time:) It was a nice get away though.

Glad you had a nice time on your Gettysburg get-away. =) Having a horde of folks around doing some form of ghost hunting makes things difficult as it is, but to have so many who were unable to refrain from horsing around and hooting, must have been frustrating. Geez and to have some follow you around like that would have gotten to me too.

That's too bad your night shots turned out mostly dark. Given the location you were at kinda makes
you wonder if maybe something unseen was affecting the camera a bit? Or if the batteries were being drained some? Not uncommon for camera's to act up or batteries to be drained in areas known for paranormal activity. Including it being fine in one area but not the next.

Looking forward to seeing the photos you did take, never know once you have them loaded you may notice something you didn't while viewing them on your camera. Well even if no paranormal experiences this time sounds like you still had a great time, and that's most important. =)

yup, the pic is up on the website. i saw what looked like a person walking towards us through the woods and told everyone to take pics... the apparition came up in one of the pics =) ***note to self... leave the TAPS Hat at home when going to Gettysburg*** if i wear that thing out there we'll have ALL the noisey kids following us! lol

I'll head over to your site and check the photo out Rick. Neat that you actually saw it as well. I've experienced seeing an apparition before, there is nothing quite like it. =) Yes that would be a good idea to leave anything identifable at home, given what Mary shared she experienced at Gettysburg your apt to have the noisey grps of teens hot on your heels. Talk about spoiling the moment.

Cool pic Rick, little hard to make out any of the details out as you noted but it definitely looks like a figure shape standing there. =)
