I had something happen yesterday that in all my years has never happened.
I live in a very active home that also has visiting Shadow persons from time to time.
My husband still sees them alot more than I do, he says he can count five, as he's seen all five. But that was several years ago.
Anyways, I was walking from one room to the next with my body partly turned sweet talking my doggie. When I turned around I literally ran into a shadow. It was around me, definitely 3-D. I was kinda shocked and said, "sorry about that" and it vanished upwards.
This was during the day, all the windows in the house were open, sunny. All I can say is it was weird. More than weird. I felt creepy crawly and I can't say for sure if it was real or in my mind. Meaning the crawling feeling. I got in the shower and it stopped.
I have thought, I do live in the middle of farmland so maybe they were spraying something? That scares me more than if this was a shadow person. Poisoning isn't my cup of tea. But I have thought about every logical explanation and I can't find one.
So, has anyone else ever had this happen or know someone/read about it? I am very curious.

Yikes that was quite the experience. I have read varied opinions and theories on what shadow people are. I just did another search but opted to go to sites I haven't browsed before, also looked at Wikipedia.

Info read today, majority indicate shadow people prefer not to be seen, once they realize they have been seen they vanish. Many believe them to be negative, they leave feelings of dread, unease, and seem to stick around certain ppl, unless you show no fear and will them away (or use prayers to do so etc). Some theorize they are a being from another dimension, that at times over laps with ours which is why we see a glimpse of them at times. Some suggest they may be related to aliens. While others feel they are the offspring of the fallen angels and are very negative, evil. They are described as silhouettes, 2-d shadows, distorted shapes, vaprous and blob-like, some have human shapes though no defining features. Can be animal shaped or partly animal shaped, human shaped, or spider like. Interesting though, many ppl (fr a 5yr old to an adult) have described seeing the same type of Shadow person including: a tall man with a fedora hat and trench coat, child-size forms and/or a black cat. No matter the type, none have facial features though some report seeing red or yellow eyes. Often seen out of the corner of the eyes, but at times in center view. Lots of not so pleasant experiences noted out there. Ones seen in our home in past were human shaped forms (but couldn't tell any features).

In previous reading: Many believe/theorize they are mostly benevolent, not harmful, most are spirits, often loved ones or guides you are seeing in a different form (other than a white mist, orb etc). It's possible some are negative energy, or even evil, but most are not. Many noted they didn't feel dread, or fear at all, while others say it did make them feal uneasy, or they got a sense of sadness from it. A few described being very afraid, and even smelling a rotten smell with it.

With your feeling it as you did, maybe you felt it's energy, and that sensation is what gave the creepy crawly feeling? According to some who have been researching shadow people, you should not interact with them, don't acknowledge, but 'will' it to go away, show no fear. While others (mostly ppl who claim to be psychic and/or have interacted with them) who think they are harmless say talk to them, tell them to leave you alone, or ask what they want etc.

Was your dog aware of it? I wouldn't think it was something you imagined if the dog noticed it too. If he did react, was he acting hostile toward it, or fearful of it, or just curious and watching it? Maybe there was something chemical (spraying) related to the feeling you had and it was not from the shadow? But odd you felt that at the same time as walking through a 3-D shadow form. To be safe though I would find out if someone was spraying something that could have caused that reaction. As for a plausibe cause for the shadow itself, I can't think of what could create a shadow such as that?

Shadow people have been seen all over the world and for centuries. Reports can be found in literature from centuries ago, including in biblical text. Makes you wonder if there are different types of shadow ppl, which is why experiences of them can vary so dramtically? Some scientists seem to think it has to do with a disturbance in the electro magnetic field and it sends impulses to the brain which creates these shadow beings (something to that effect), but then these same scientists think ghosts and other apparitions seen (anything paranormal) are just delusions, or results of what is known as waking sleep.

Keep us posted if you see/feel something like this again, looking forward to hearing more about this experience. Sorry I can't be of more help, but it seems when it comes to shadow people there is not just one answer/theory/belief to what they are or can be.

Thanks for all the research, we must have been in some of the same sites LOL!
The reaon I wondered about the farmers treating their fields is that over the last week they have tilled all the land around us.....and it gets dusty!!!!!! But thats been done a couple days prior and I know the fertilize but they only thing I seen them use is well, not nice things to talk about LOL.......has to do with cows. And when they do that it stinks to high heaven and my windows are closed and airconditioning on! Whew!
I am still going to do more checking. We also have high power lines running through fields near us. Gee, wonderful country living huh? They aren't on top of my house but we also have huge electrical sub-stations, two of them within a mile. One substation is for the southern and one shoots power north.
I didn't walk through it but stopped when I realized "this is not right?" LOL And as you said it just disappeared. I didn't feel evil, anger or anything negative except for my skin, even in my hair?
I am really trying to lean towards a natural thing, maybe all this electrical crap around us had something do to with it. I decided I would look at it like T.A.P.S. I want to call the power company but haven't quite figured out my words yet, so they don't just hang up on me.
But maybe another member here has had something like this, or even heard about something like this?
Max didn't see it, I was walking from one room and she started down the hallway, that was why my head was turned, "puppy baby" I sweet talk my baby! But that another thing to think about as she usually reacts to things before I even notice ya' know. And she didn't.
I was probably wrong saying I was sorry to it. Thats twice in a week now I said something I shouldn't have. The other one was saying "hey you!" to a border guard dog! LOL

Your welcome. It's been awhile since I've researched different theories/beliefs on the shadow people phenomenon, so it was interesting reading. Wasn't sure what info you've read before so opted to do a recap of what I found. I also thought with sightings being fairly common maybe this info will be helpful for some others as well. =)

I'm with ya, ruling out plausible causes is important to do (should always be done IMO). Long before we were even twinkles in our parents eyes (or they in theirs), researchers of the paranormal have been looking at the mundane first and trying to debunk experiences, locations, and various phenomenon. Numerous teams and individuals who hunt/investigate today do the same, as do some folks who don't actively hunt but have experienced unusual activity. Sometimes you find the mundane along with unexplainable aspects of things experienced. Maybe you have a little of both here?

Hearing your dog didn't react, does lean this more to the explainable side. However your description of the shadow being 3-D is curious though, not your typical shadow. Has Max reacted everytime to the shadow ppl you and Curt have seen before?

I would ask the power company if it's possible to feel the sensation you did from the power lines by your home. I don't think they will hang up on you or consider your nuts, it's a valid question to ask. They may have been doing work on the lines nearby that sent extra surges through, or a EM field disturbance may be felt more where high voltage lines are located? Maybe it caused you to see the shadow and the creepy skin feeling, but didn't affect Max? I lived next to farm fields (and a horse ranch) for a few yrs I know that manure stink lol, there is a pig farmer not far from where we live now and I tell ya some days it's rosy. =P With a cpl days passing since the fields were worked I can't see that being the cause here, besides if you had enough dust to create a dust blob and have it on your skin you would see it on your furniture etc as well. I'd still check into a chemical fertilizer though, maybe there is residual in the air and that's what you felt on your skin?

Hopefully someone else has experienced a 3-D shadow before and the skin feeling you had. You got me curious now. Hey maybe it has to do with something in the lines of the HAARP experiments? Ok that's a real stretch. Good luck, let us know what you find out in your debunking quest.

Hope your keeping well? I was just reading your post and had to respond. My friend has several shadow people going around his property at the moment, he has described the same sensation as you did, I have been round there and seen a couple for myself and must admit they do make you feel uneasy but I think its because they are blank, with spirits you see them as they were so they are easy to accept,but these are just like a blank canvas. I've never been able to connect with a shadow spirit, I believe they are just part of that collection of spirits who have never exsisted as human, but they are not bad, just nosey =) =) Pretty much what Cat has said already I know

As you know, Curts been the one seeing shadows not me LOL! So, when this happened the other day it threw me for a loop! To agree with you, I also feel no negative here. Haven't seen it again either. I think I shocked him/her as well as they shocked me! It was an "UH" moment.
All in all I can't beleive I responded with, "sorry about that?" What was I thinking? If anything I missed a chance of a lifetime to interact somehow. Guess we did, we merged.
I have this prob about saying dumb things at very important times? LOL
Like when I said "hey you" to a bomb/drug dog at the border earlier this month and he jumped in my car? Thats a story!

Hi, I had shadow people in my previous house.Im not an expert or psychic at all...but this is just my opinion that I get from experiencing them...I dont believe they are evil.They dont want to be seen...and maybe that is why they try to blend into the shadows?? I think they are just curious, and want to watch, but try not to be noticed.I call them my "house ghosts".I have never seen one with eyes....so I dont know if that is something totally different??

We have shadow people in our house too, and they have been here for years. One reminds me of Abe Lincoln, and so that is what we call him. His "shadow" is dark, and you can tell he's tall, and wearing the top hat. His legs, of course, fade out at the knees. Other than that, no features, etc. He has never scared us, and we just comment when we see him moving through our living room and down the hallway. I think it is great to have the spirits here, so long as they don't cause any trouble. There are some in our bedroom who want to make shuffling noises, or little cracks or bumps, keeping my husband from sleeping sometimes. He just tells them to "Knock it off, and let me sleep!" and they obey his orders. I am glad that they listen! LOL

My shadows didnt do anything...I had some different ghosts in my house.We couldnt see them at all...but they would do knocking and you could feel them in the room with you.I picked up a few EVPs there, but Im not sure if it was the shadow people or not?? But I really dont think so.Our shadow ghosts would move really fast most of the time, so you would just see a black blurr, is the only way to describe it.And I really dont know if we had more than one.But mostly you could only see the head and upper body for a few seconds, and then he would disappear into the wall or door.

Personally I believe that shadow people are just ghosts. Good? Bad? Depends on the spirit. I think we see them as shadow because of our own inability to see them and their energy. It may have to do with the energy in the area also.
I think they're just ghosties drawn to houses with people in them who have psychic energy. Just like people they may want something or nothing. They may just want to be there to be close to people with psychic energies. And like attracts like of course. From what I have been able to discern, they're just people, corporeally challenged people.

I agree with Nakis, I believe they are ghosts...
I personally have not had any encounters with shadow people but my best friend has had several encounters in her house and on the property she lives on which also happens to be farmland. I believe they are out there and to be totally honest with everyone I would like to actually have an encounter with one or even see one so I can see what kind of energy they really have and to see if I can determine good or bad? I know that sounds kind of odd but I find it intriguing!
