Have had a cpl of interesting nights, and I still can't quite shake the feeling of not being alone. I posted a bit ago (all things psychic forum) about odd dreams I have had which I wondered if they were more than just a dream, and had shared some odd activity in the last few months (and previously). The banging/knocking hasn't happened for awhile now, but we have heard where it sounded like someone was moving about when no one was. And one night my son had seen for a brief moment (more out the corner of his eye than directly) someone walk past his bed (he was awake reading). He is somewhat sensitive so this is not the first time he has experienced that, he has also seen them directly not just out of the corner of the eye, nor only in our home. He is not comfortable with it though. Outside of that nothing real notable, until now.

The night before last, my son and I were standing in the kitchen by the doorway to our family room. We were the only two up, it was around 1:00am or so. Out of the blue he said "did you see that ok I'm freaked, someone just walked across the family room", he thought at first it was hub that just walked in. I didn't see anything but I do admit I had a feeling that someone was there when I turned to look (I didn't tell him that though). Not because he had said that but it did feel like something was there. I walked into the room and looked down the hall to see if hub was up but he wasn't. Thing is while I was in the family room I also felt a cool wisp around me. And when I walked back into the kitchen (my son was now over by the table) I felt a little breeze of cool air go right past me. A mere moment later one of the cats came darting from the back porch area (off the kitchen) which was behind me, it was as if something spooked him. My son decided to call it a night shortly after but I remained up as I was not at all tired.

While on the puter I got that feeling of being watched. When I stay up late and hub needs to get up early he'll often sleep in the spare room so I don't disturb him as it takes me a bit to fall asleep. I had literally just closed my eyes when I clearly heard someone call my name (I was still very much awake). It was like a loud whisper, and said in a hurried way as someone does when trying to get your attention. It startled me as it was by my ear and it truly felt like someone was standing next to the bed when I heard it. [Eek!] It was a male's voice. I thought maybe hub called me but it just sounded like it was next to me, nope he was snoring away when I checked. The last time I have heard my name called so clearly (and loud like that) was at our old home, which we knew for certain was haunted by an old man.

Then last night, again I was the only one still up, I was sitting at the puter and got that feeling of being watched. I could of sworn someone was behind me so I turned to look and I saw a small black shadow move right by the table (as if going under it), the table is right behind the puter desk. It didn't really have any shape to it and it was only for a brief moment. We have a bigger black cat so thought maybe it was him, even though the shadow was about 2' up from the floor or so. Nope, no cat in the kicthen, found them snoozing in other rooms. When I sat back down I could feel those cool wisps of air again, first one was strong enough that my whole right side got goosebumps. It did make me a wee bit uneasy. The camera was on the kitchen table so I took a few pictures. I haven't loaded them on the pc yet but on the LCD it doesn't look like anything is in them.

I don't know if this is related to previous activity and/or the odd dreams, or not? Maybe a visitor, or a passer-by came in (but then how did he know my name)? Your thoughts/opinions are most welcome, I would appreciate it actually. And hearing if others have experienced things that carried over from one night to the next, or hearing your name called so clearly? I/we always consider plausible causes first and can't find anything that might have created what was experienced? [Confused]

Interesting stuff, Cat. I've noticed just with my own experiences that things tend to go in cycles. I'll have a few days where it seems like something is always happening and then it will drop off for months. I've always theorized about weather conditions and various other factors that may "energize" a place at a specific point in time.

I know you already know this, but keep a journal and see if you can find a pattern. Watch for weather conditions like storms in the area and such and see if that may be a contributing factor. Also, look at what everyone is doing around your house. Pn activity may be higher when everyone is up and moving around, or it may peak when almost everyone is asleep. It would be interesting to see if there is a pattern there.

I've had the name being called thing happen numerous times (as a matter of fact, just last night) and I've even heard complete sentences that sounded like someone was right next to me. At our former home, I distinctly heard a man's voice say, "Well, hello there!" I learned days later that one of our elderly neighbors, who I never got the chance to meet in life, had passed away around that time. At that same house, I heard a female voice very clearly and urgently ask, "Where is Janie?", the name of my younger sister. I still have the voices on occasion, but not nearly as often as I used to.

Keep us updated! I'm interested in knowing if you find anything out.

Hi Cat and Carrie,
Sitting here nodding at both of your posts. Currently having the feeling of being watched while on the puter also. I wonder if its just on the puter or we notice it more relaxing at our computers?
Do the whisps of cool air mostly get you at the neck and back of you head? Mine do, but then the rest of me breaks out in goosebumps. Its almost like its not the chill but the whole experience? LOL
I do not like having my name called, to familair. Personally, I would tell him to go away Please you scaring me!
I am not trying to scare you but if you don't recognize something familair about this being, like voice, smell? Tell it to leave you alone.
As I said I have been having the same feelings and last night I told it to go away......and bother someone else? Ohhhhhh......thinking.
Ok, maybe we need to track these visits as Carrie said. I usually do but I don't get real technical about it. I should be more detail oriented. I will try.
Hugs to you both,
Peg

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for your replies. Yep Carrie you guessed right, I am in the habit of writing things done. =) I don't think it's specifically weather related per say, although I do feel certain weather can provide extra energy in the air which might be why we experience things stronger (more notable) at times? Least it has seemed that way for me/us lately. We're in for thunderstorms and/or rain this week (suppose to be real hot tomorrow though), will be interesting to see if anything happens. My camera is always at the ready.

Peg the voice wasn't familiar, other than it did remind me of the one I heard in the other home. I don't think Liam (the old man) has found his way over here though, least I hope not. LOL

I actually did say leave me alone a couple of times when I felt like someone was behind me and the cool wisps were around my right side, it didn't help though. LOL But will keep saying it.

I do know these types of things have/do happen to others, still, hearing/talking about it with those who have experienced it, or are experiencing it, while you are, does help. Still don't know who this is or what he wants though? LOL But at least I now know there is a male here as we suspected. I've had many odd experiences in my life and have been researching about the paranormal for many many years (plus I hunt/investigate when time and opportunity allows), yet somehow when something out of the norm from the usual odd things you've experience(d) happens, it gets you wondering. [Sigh]

Peg the wisps of cool air are often around my face and/or hands, though I have felt them at the back of the neck at times (when my hair was in a ponytail), and along one side of me, and now then moving all around me. I also often feel something touching the top or back of my head, like something is in or touching your hair feeling. I know exactly what you mean about the goosebumps, they are not the same as normal goosebump feelings. One night I was in the back porch/laundry area and as I headed back towards the kitchen I walked through what I can only describe as a column of cold air when I reached where the top of the basement stairs are. I was instantly goosebumped from head to toe. It felt different and there was no reason at all for a temp drop to be right there (wasn't minutes before or after when I went back, nor was there anything to have caused it). I wish I could describe it better.

Carrie what were you doing when you heard your name called the other night? Do you ever recognize the voices or note other activity at the same time? I've never heard full sentences but a cpl years or so ago my older son and I clearly heard a child's voice downstairs say "don't go" as we were walking past the storage room to go upstairs. I've heard "Mom" and "Hi" before too, thought it was one of the boys but it wasn't. And one time I clearly heard "We're here" shortly after I kept quietly asking for angels to be sent to help remove anything negative that was here (my older son had seen a large dark shadow in the hallway that he got a real bad feeling from). That one startled me I let out a yelp lol, it was so clear. Do you find hearing your name called feels different than hearing a cpl words or a sentence like that? It feels different to me, too personal when it's your name and you don't recognize who is saying it. Especially after just laying down in bed. Hey he better not have been watching while I changed. =P

Peg we'll have to compare notes, see if either of us notes a pattern.

Thanks again for your replies. Looking forward to hearing if others have or are experiencing something similar. And any other thoughts/opinions on this are always appreciated. I would like to figure out who is here, or what this could mean, why is activity picking up etc. =)
