For my Birthday KellKell sent me a sunflower kit. So I have planted my flowers and thought I would share the progress with the entire board! Here is day 1, the planting of the seeds. I won't bore you with more photos until a plant starts to peek out of the soil. [Wink]

Oooh, and we should be planting ours (well, Mare's Sunflowers, actually - another B-day gift =) ) soon, so we can post photos of our Sunflower garden when it gets planted/grows! [Big Grin]

(Dang, we may need a Horticulture forum before long! [Laughing]

What would be neat is, if the camera could be stationary along with the pplants. When it starts to peek thru, take a photo (1 - 3 times a day) at the same time(s). Keep a record when each shot was taken. It all be made into a timelaspe video. Would be neat.

Really neat idea... I have no idea which will sprout first. I do not have a green thumb... I am the only person I know that could kill a Chia pet. [Laughing]

Nor, that would be a cool project for you... the time lapse thing. Nor has lots of plants in his puter room, he has a green thumb for sure. He sent some home with me when I went up for a visit.... sad to say they didn't make it long under my care. sniff sniff.... [Thud]

Can't wait to see which one grows first.

Plant killer here also! Reporting for duty, or not? LOL
I have not even a hint of a green thumb, yet I try again and again.
This year my garden is possessed! I no sooner planted and its gone crazy? Maybe its due to the grandkids helping me? I think thats got to be it!
Anyways, I am watching for Sunflowers with you all! LOL =)

all you need is a mini tripod, 8-10" tall, leave the camera screwed on that, take a photo say every 12 hours, try not to move the camera.
If you like, I could make a time laspe video for you.

Day 4! And I have to say I am surprised to see them come up this fast. =) The one on the right is really spirited because last night I didn't see anything. The one on the left is just starting to peek out but you can't see it in the photo.
