I very much liked the feel and energy of this place on first finding it, and have read some sweet and touching posts by some of the regulars here. That, combined with the warmth of the place, made wanting to join here, a very easy decision to make!
So... here I am. *chuckles* Yes, really! Seriously though, if there's anything you want to know, just ask =) I'm very open and relaxed when it comes to discussions of any sort. And who knows, I might just throw a few facts out there as well, whilst I'm at it... *grins*

Reading your introductory post just gave me chills of delight. I hope that you will always find our little corner of the internet a place of comfort, joy and sharing experiences. As you have probably noticed, we aren't all strictly ghosts and paranormal (though we love it!).
We are a group full of love and caring for one another, which makes it a comfortable place, too. Thanks for bringing those lovely soft pillows! ::Mare pulls up a pillow and sits down with a sigh of comfort::

It's great to have a Londoner in our midst! Part of my roots are in Cornwall, from my father's parents who came to the US around 1900 (surname Pearce, & my grandmother was a Hocking).
So, it is terrific to have you with us!! I hope you will enjoy your time spent with us.

Let's see, well... I'm male, and am interested in many different aspects of the supernatural/paranormal, from ghosts and spirits, to crystals and psi-abilities. Just about anything offbeat, unsual or different interests me, and I particularly enjoy getting to know people with open minds and open hearts too... so here's hoping I do that here =)
Feel free to talk to me here anytime, as I'll be checking this topic of mine regularly. Anyone's welcome to post, and talk about... well, whatever you like!

I just have to say it, but I've noticed all the angel avatars you all have here, and I have to say I think they're really cute! =) I've never seen a place where everyone uses the same kind of image like that... what a lovely idea, and it really adds to that that feeling of warmth and community around here, that so many would choose to do that!

Those lovely angel images were created for all of us who are owners/administrators and moderators here by one of our dear moderators, Savannah Silkie! She has some health problems, and is not always able to come by, but she is here at her every opportunity. I know that you will love her as much as we do!
I do much of the site graphics, and if you would like a special avatar for yourself, just ask, and I will be pleased to do one for you. If I am extra busy (which I am sometimes!), others like Kell or Savannah Silkie will be happy to create something special for you.

Now that I'm going to happily take you up on, as I love seeing peoples creativity at work... and I admit to being rather intrigued as to what image you'll come up with for my name...
*very warmly* thank you for making me this kind offer... it's particularly appreciated in my case, as, due to using an ancient, much loved but somewhat idiosyncratic system to wander the highways and byways of the internet with, uploading images of my own would be impossible. So yes, I'll happily take you (or whosoever desires to create it! ) up on that! =) No rush or anything though... whenever anyone has time. I'm not going anywhere! *grins*
By the way Mare, I love what you did with the site graphics... the place looks awesome, whatever area I happen to be in, and I like the fact the graphics change, depending on where I am in SK. It gave me a rea "feel" for the place, and my first reaction on seeing them was "cool look to the place!" =)
