Here in Jackson County, Florida where I live there is a ghost story about a place called Bellamy Bridge (it is listed on the haunted list at www.hauntedflorida.com[/URL]) as the story goes a woman in the 1800s died there on her wedding night...some say she drowned and some say she burned to death...no one really knows but to this day it is said that her ghost roams the river basin looking for her lost love...

Anyway, that is a brief on the story...
I was always told growing up and also now in adult life never take anything from "the dead" or from their "resting place" and I firmly believe it...

Well, my other half didn't believe me so we went down to visit Bellamy Bridge to see if we saw anything out of the ordinary and I told him not to take anything not even as much as a twig...and I thought he listened.

Well, that night I was awakened but a dream of a young lady with long brown hair in a wedding dress telling me to tell him "to put it back or he will be upset...." I then woke to find the room extremely cold and just really erie.

Well, when Wayne woke up the next morning he told me about the dream he had which happened to be the same one I had (Elizabeth Bellamy the ghost is described as a young woman with long brown hair in a wedding dress to clarify that).

I told him that I had the same dream as well. When he got out of bed he walked towards the doorway stopped and turned around and looked at me with a strange look on his face and he told me to look...there on the floor was a dime laying face down on the floor...I asked what about it and he then told me he took a dime he found from under the bridge...I was shocked to see it...he walked to his closet and pulled the dime he had picked up out of his pocket...and note this was a different dime and it was not there when we went to bed...

He said he was haunted all day by a woman telling him to put my gift back and strangly enough I kept hearing a voice all day saying put it back...put it back...

So finally after two days we could not take it no more so I made him take back the dime...He took the dime back and apologized to the spirit for taking it...but Wayne still wakes up at night after having nightmares of a "a burning bride" attacking him...

Do you think it is possible for a ghost to visit you in your dreams?
Why do you think she could possibly still be upset at him because he did take back "her gift?"

I am just speechless I don't know what to tell him or think of it....this is a first for me because I know better than to mess with the "gifts of the dead!"

That is truly a bizarre story. I've always held the same belief about not taking anything from a cemetery, burial site, etc...

Yes, it is absolutely possible for a spirit to visit someone in a dream. That is one of the most common forms of spirit contact.

What puzzles me a little is what significance that dime could have had. Considering that dime was not from her era, I would not have thought she had an attachment to it. However, I have heard of people leaving small tokens for the dead, coins being an example. Perhaps a curiousity seeker or another ghost hunter "gave" that coin to her as a token of appreciation, rememberance, etc... That is the only theory I've got on it, maybe someone else has another idea. Regardless, it is an intriguing story!

You are right I have no idea about the dime, but I know several ppl visit the abandoned bridge often in hopes to see the ghost and after I got finished posting I was telling him that I put in on a forum and he began to tell me he had the dream again last night of a fiery appartion floating over a bridge asking him to put it back...I wonder did he upset her in some way? Could she possible be having her revenge in some way?
