Has anyone seen the movie Silent Hill Yet? I watched it today it was a pretty decent movie...it is basically about good and evil in the world...and it leaves you with an ending that makes you wander...if you haven't seen it check it out and let me know what you think about it!
Katt, my husband and I just rented that movie this past Friday night. It was a pretty good movie, but yes, the ending did leave me to wonder. My nephew used to play the game when he was younger, and the movie definitely followed suit with the creepy feel that the game had.
The only thing that I wished they had done differently was some of the CGI. I felt like a few things that where done with the computer animation could have been done with real people with perhaps CG thrown into the mix. I have a pet peeve with movies that just jump into using the computer graphics when it could have been recreated through using real life actors or a combination of both. I don't know if you've seen Underworld, but they do a lot of the special affects with real actors using specially made suits. To me, it just gives it such an authentic feel.

For most modern horror flicks, especially ones made from video games, I thought it was pretty good.
It was a basic plot of how "good" people get lost trying to do good and end up creating evil.
But I liked the characters and the direction/editing. It could have ended up like many other horror flicks and been dissappointing. Like how they rewarded the main character with the 'truth' showing all the events like an old film that explained what had happened. How the 'evil' spirit that went by many names helped the main character, albiet to its own ends but you cheer for the main character.
I was disappointed by the end. Given the rewards the movie gives the viewers (explanation, punishing the bad people, rescuing the girl, etc.. ) the movie left you without a best reweard, a happy ending. But I imagine it leaves the door open for Silent Hill 2.
