As a few of you know, Ihave 7 dogs, one that I am "fostering" at this moment, hoping that her owners will come forward and ask for her. It was Saturday morning, and my daughter and Ihad to make an emergancy trip to the grocery store for "personal" items, and on the way there, I spot this little black puppy dart out in front of a car, almost getting hit. SO the entire time that I was at the store I was worried about her , getting hit by a car, and when I got back id see her laying out dead in the street. So when we got close to the spot we saw her at,we were lucky and saw her one more time, and she was almost hit by another car again! So I told my daughter Taylor , to get out and get the little thing, so that she wouldnt get hurt, and we brought her home, hopeing that we would soon see signs for her posted. Well, today is Thursday, and so far , not a sign one posted for her. I have created a few signs to post that I have found her, and say that when the real owner calls , they will have to answer some questions so that I know that they are her true owner.
Taylor loves her alot, but I told her that if we could find her a good home, that Id rather do that, that we have enough dogs in the house. She is mad at me, and i told her that we will have to see what the results of the flyers posted by us are, and take things from there. She really is a pretty little thing, cannot possibly be no more than 8 or 9 weeks old, and cutting teeth. She looks more like a Cocker Spaniel to me , than a lab though, her feet arent real big.

God bless you for taking the time and energy to help that poor puppy.
But be firm with Taylor. 7 dogs? WOW. You don't need another one. I'm surprised no one has complained yet. Most towns have limits on how many dogs you can have.

I hope you find a good home for her.

There are so many good dogs that need good homes. Thank you for taking in so many. You can't save them all unfortunately. I hope you find a good home for her. She sounds like a real cutie. Maybe you can put her up on PetFinder or something? Perhaps contact Cocker Spaniel Rescue if you think she's a CS. I doubt a puppy could have gotten too far from home where you found her. I am surprised no one has contacted you. Perhaps she from an unwanted litter and they figured good riddance. =(

That was so wonderful that you rescued the poor puppy, and at least are keeping her welfare in mind when finding a home for her. There are people out there who will just drop off unwanted pets by the roadside. That is a very cruel thing to do, but it happens. Bless you for loving this unlucky little furbaby.

Tammy, I think it's wonderful that you've taken this poor little pup in. You have a very kind heart. I do hope that you can fine a home for her, or her actual owners come forward. Although, I would suspect that with her being so young if she where truely lost, someone would have contacted you by this point. I know if I lost a puppy, or even a dog for that matter, I'd be out combing the streets.

I know that your daughter won't be happy if you find another home for the pup. But perhaps your daughter would still be able to visit with her if she ends up not being too far away.

I wish you luck with finding her a home. And as everyone else has said, Bless you for taking her in to begin with! =)
