9/11 is a very sad day for all who were touched by it, including those of us who didn't have any friends or family directly involved. It still makes my heart ache for the lives lost, and the families disrupted by something so evil. I send love and blessings to all of them, and I hope that those who were taken on that day will pray for all of us to find the strength to end religion-based battles forever.
I wish our world could learn that we should never fight over religion, and that each person should be allowed to worship whomever his/her Creator may be, in the way that is most comfortable for them. Fighting over religion is an ancient battle, and evidently mankind will never learn to stop trying to force everyone to believe just as they do. There is no winning in a religious war. Too many people seem to feel that their own way is the ONLY way to interact with the God who made us all, and that simply isn't so. I wish the religions of the world would recognize that we are ALL worshiping the same god, even though he/she is known by different names, and religions vary as much as the people who practice them. Since I have my own way of worshiping, it doesn't make me evil. And, I would fight to allow others to worship in whatever way they choose.
Just my thoughts.... and I hope that 9/11 can somehow help people to learn religious tolerance. Love your neighbor, no matter how he/she worships. It is a private, personal choice, and it is best made by the person who walks in your neighbors shoes... that being your neighbors themselves. Love them for their similarities to you, and try hard not to judge them on their differences.
Love and bright blessings to all!
Mare
