We knew it had to happend sooner or later...and so it has happened earlier today.

Moonlights system has decided that it wants to have its own particular brand of nap.

The system itself still works but the keyboard and controllers have decided against working.

This means that Moonlight may not be around for a while... but not by choice.

On the other hand, maybe, as things sometimes do, it might sort itself out and he'll be back in no time. (that's the one I'm hoping for.. =) )...

Hope he can get his issues resolved and be back on the board soon... btw, what system is he running? From the posts on logging in/PMs it sounds like he's due for an upgrade anyway... [Wink]

It may be a keyboard problem, which wouldn't be as expensive to replace... just a thought.

Kevin;

Moonlight uses a Sega Dreamcast. I know the North American version of the web disc has java but the UK version has what they call "java lite"... which means it pretty well has zero java abilities. =(

Panda;
I keep hoping Santa will bring him a computer but I dunno about that being good thing... [Laughing]

Az;
checking the keyboard is a good idea but he has already tried a couple of keyboards on it...and the joypads... nada.

Fortunately, another DC has been found waiting to be purchased on e-bay... now it's just a matter of waiting for it to arrive.....

*warmly* Thanks for all the support and good wishes, everyone! =)

Yep, my wee beastie blew up (quite a few of them have blown up on me, over the years [Big Grin] ) in a new and interesting way... I've had many a disc drive failure, but never had the keyboard connection die on me before!

However, thanks to the wonders of E-bay, I am now rebeastied for the time being, ... and determined - somehow - to get myself PC'd in 2007... =)

Now all I gotta do is figure out where, what kind, and how much [Big Grin]

But that's... another story [Wink]

Love and Light - Moonlight =)

*warmly* Why, thank you Mare honey... it's nice to be back! =)

Yep, I'm definitely planning to sort out some kind of PC access in 2007. I intend to take my time and get a system that is just what I need, rather than buying the first thing that's available. I think over the Christmas period, I'll be doing a little research, and see if I can find me the best PC package for my money! =)

Love and Light - Moonlight.

Hey guess what?

I had to do a complete system restore on my PC just the day before yeaterday and it is rumoured that a paticular ISP is causing damage to the hard drive. Not sure about all of that, but I know I missed having computer access for the short period of time I was down.

I am also glad you are back Moonlight.....couldn't see in the dark without you. *tee hee
