Hello first i will like to say im new here

Well about 2 or 3 years ago our dog coco died well before he did my parents toke him to the vet because he wouldent get up from laying down he just layed there anyway the vet said they had to keep him overnight so they next night the vet called them and my mom and dad left to go see the vet well 2 hours went by and they still were not home. keep in mind that the vets office was 10 minutes away. so i was watching tv all of sudden i felt over whelming saddess come over my body and from the corner of my eye i saw a siluotte of my dogs body laying on his bed for a quick secoud and then it was gone and i started to get real upset so i called my parents and said whats wrong with coco they said sean we will tell you when you get home i kept insisting they tell and finally i said he is died isent he? they said yes and i hang up the phone. i was very close to my dog he was like my best friend. i explained to my parents what happened and they said that he just died right before i called...and it freaks me out till this day..i still couldent beleive it i still kinda dont i think it was brought on by my own emotions at the time..and my mother was attached to him to so she was even more upset then i was and heart broken...my mom expericned some things too and my dad for awhile ...my mom while sleeping would hear paw clack on our wooden floors like our dog moving around the house my dog while going to the bathroom unknownlying stepped over our dog so he could get to the kitchen. one night my mom was dead asleep and she heard claws scratching at our front door my mom let our dead dog out to go to the bathroom and then let him in or so shes says...what is ur opioin on this type of thing>?

Every night after I had snuggled into bed and turned out the lights my cat would jump up on the bed and snuggle in with me. This wasn't a small, quiet jump. She had to jump up on the little set of steps, then onto the nightstand, then onto the bed, making lots of noise along the way.

After we had to have her put to sleep, some nights I could still hear her making that jump, and I could feel her hit the bed right beside me. That continued until we moved and I've often wondered if we left her behind for the new residents.

So to answer your question, yes I believe.

Hi Sean,

I've heard a lot of stories regarding the spirits of pets. I think their spirit's must be much like human spirits...sometimes they might not realize they've passed on, sometimes they may just be attached to their owners and unwilling to move on. In your case, it sounds like Coco was trying to prepare you for the shock of his passing by showing you his image, or maybe he just felt the need to visit the home he had loved and enjoyed. From your Mom's experiences, it sounds like Coco may still be occasionally stopping by for a visit with the people who loved him.
